Super League champions against the Challenge Cup holders. Not a bad tie for the BBC!

Will definitely be on BBC, probably the 2.30 KO on BBC one I'd imagine.

Shame there's no fans but nice to have a big game so early, something to look forward to!

Could be a tough game but they'll be a lot more disappointed with this draw than us.

Another CC win is well overdue; we should have more than enough to see off Leeds, but we do have a bit of a habit of cocking up. Presume our tie will be on the BBC.

Interestingly Saints haven't confirmed the venue yet.

I was told yesterday the TV games will be a double header at a neutral venue so our home draw could well be neutral yet.

I’d rather a third straight Grand Final given the choice but I do really want a cup win, too. That final in 2019 was so disappointing.

Good tie though, there’s no one I really fear but one off games are tough.

I wonder if they’ll play it at York? New ground, York v Wigan etc, Don’t know if it’s Covid secure though.

The usual Covid grounds are Hull, Leeds, Saints and Warrington. There is only Saints that have a home draw so you would think the games are at our stadium. But this is the RFL so the games will probably played at Leeds to give Leeds an adsvantage.

What about Salford? We played Warrington there last season.

Widnes played at home yesterday, as did Featherstone.

It's almost guaranteed to be at Headingly, along with the York v Wigan game.

If it's when fans are allowed, I'd have preferred York, gives them some exposure and lets them show off their new pad.

I don't think even the RFL would force a team drawn at home to play the tie at the away team's ground.

Didn't realise that, so on that basis all teams drawn with at home tie will play at their own grounds.

I think it’s do with running costs. I think the agreement with the BBC is that both games should be on the same ground. The non-televised games will be at the normal venues. A bit like the Sky agreement after the next round.

With our stadium being a Covid vaccination centre, can games still be played there as the vaccinations are taking place?

If it’s to be at a neutral venue, it can’t be at our place or Headingley. I can see a double header at York along with the Wigan game.

Not that it make as much difference with no crowds, but why should getting picked for TV mean you lose the home advantage the draw gave you? I can understand if the home team couldn't stage a double-header and/or isn't Covid-secure, but why couldn't the double-header be staged at Saints?

I'd quite like it to be like their last cup tie.

I’m thinking more of the other game, if I’m honest. I can’t imagine say York or Featherstone would be too keen to lose home advantage to suit the TV, while the home team in the other game gets its. Not that fairness ever seems to be a consideration.

At the end of the day, we can't complain about home advantage too much. We are at home for an away game next week and we managed to play half of our lockdown games at home whereas the likes of Wigan weren't allowed a single further home game in the weekly rounds.

In reality, though, it counts for little at the moment. It doesn't bother me where we play it, although it would grate somewhat if Headingley was chosen when our own stadium has been one of the designated venues since August.

I have to say, the Cup is my priority this year. We've won two Grand Finals on the spin and my personal need for a third has now been eclipsed by the need to win the Cup after 13 long years. It's far too long for a club of our stature and a monkey that we need to get off our backs.
