I hope his plans are successful. He has fantastic energy. I support, him, the club and the town 100%.
There is no doubt Eamonn is a terrific guy and I hope & pray his plans come to fruition .
The short video of Church St . really is depressing . To be one of the towns with the most
suicides is dreadful . I hope everyone in the town backs Eamonn 100% .
We have a great man at the helm and we should give him and the club what support we can. Saints are more than just a rugby club.
Learned comment from The Don
I saw the chairman in the new(ish) Sherdley Park golf club restaurant not long before the Huddersfield game last week. I wanted to say to him that I supported his comments and was behind him 100% but thought it was a bit cringey so didn't. I did think it though so that counts I suppose
That restaurant is the type of thing that the town should support, people putting their money in and developing something we can be can proud of. I hope investors see that along with what Eamonn is doing and want to bring some more funding to St Helens
(although some people, instead of getting behind the golf course, thought it would be fun to steal the golf carts and play Mario Kart with them causing thousands of pounds worth of damage)
'Publicity stunt!'
...wearing my tin hat!
As chair of the economy board he is in position to make a difference together with like minded people. The town needs this commitment because the Council will not take a lead. It will take time but at least he's moving things in the right direction.
Can't stop the spirits when they need you.
This life is more than just a read through.
Living in Leeds Fridays are just a killer for me to get to games. But I do find that catching the odd game live can be more enjoyable than it was when I went week in week out due to the routine.
I think as you get older other things replace the sheer tribalism of sport. I know when my dad had kids he stopped attending as often. Same with myself, but always keep and interest and the bug starts to come back.
