I'm talking about match fitness. You can train pre season as much as you wish but you only get " match fit" by playing.
I'm not suggesting playing guys who have a genuine knock I am saying it is foolish to rest physically fit players on the pre assumption that there is a bigger prize in The WCC. I personally think that is debatable anyway.
Sounds like you're not far off

Kristian Inu (can kick goals) , Jake Mamo , Iain Thornley , Elliot Kear.
Just someone short term to plug a gap. Always prefer promoting the youth from within
but if they are injured or not ready then might need to be pragmatic.
Not forever just a couple of months.
If fit and playing then why not.
I just threw up a few names off the top of my head.
The point still stands , if there is a gap for a few months
and the youth aren't ready then get someone on loan.
Jai Field another speculative name but would probably need to be a year deal.
If Percy is out for a considerable amount of time then I would maybe look at moving Welsby to centre once Coote is back.
Personally i thought him mediocre. He wasnt a bad player like some of the tragi-comedy players we all know but he was mediocre and a lightweight in my opinion. We should be worried if he were a viable option to he honest. Id struggle to say he was serviceable, as I say tge lack of interest signing him tells much you need to know.
