Any chance you have the premiership first round gamev Widnes from 85?

The game where Paul Round ended up playing on the wing and Big Mal made him look like Eric Grothe

Not been mentioned so far but the game at The Valley in 1996 would be a good one, the one with Apollo's late winning try.

Still waiting patiently for the title winning match against Warrington that year too.

Remember Precky going under the sticks and the camera flash bulbs going off in slow-mo. What a great day that was!

The least I could do for Warrington fans - probably the last time they saw a championship being presented involving their team...

What brilliant rugby we played then. I think the Wire number 13 might be worth signing

The output on the video was excellent but YT has scaled and compressed the video quality. Will probably upload in a different format when my broadband is upgraded.

I'm going to do London vs Saints, at the the Valley next then, follow that with Saints vs Leeds JPS 1988 .

Both the full game and highlights are on YouTube already if that helps
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

The ref was Mr Lawrinson of Warrington

John Mantle had a long standing finger injury, I think he had had it broken a couple of times and it had not healed properly.

The reason he gave for flattening the Wigan player was something like "he bent my finger" which obviously sounded amusing from a bloke of his size.
He eventually had the offending finger amputated so I guess it was causing him some pain

Not too sure but it maybe the only time he was sent off. He was the sort of player who would always stand his ground but certainly not noted as a dirty player.

He was one of my coaches way back. He used to show his missing finger to us and tell us the tale behind it.
