Most of the Cas players have gone backwards in the last 2 seasons. They need a change of manager; Powell has run his course.

There’s also Paulo who is under contract for 2021 but very much on the fringes. It wouldn’t surprise me to see more players leave than come in as I think we are heavily stacked in the forwards as it stands. Ashworth and Paulo could both leave without it having much impact but if any of Amor, LMS or Peyroux leave I think they’d need replacing.
I was told a couple of weeks back that Amor has signed a one year contract extension.

Hopefully - his form the past couple of seasons warrants it. Hope Louis signs an extension, too. And perhaps Peyroux (Bentley would be my first choice to partner Thompson in the 2nd row, but unless the club think Wingfield is going to be ready to step-up next season, we need cover, and I want Knowles playing in the middle.)

Col, don't start hanging around the gates of Cowley. One stalker on the forum is more than enough.

I'd have asked why he wasn't shopping local. Magnificent town centre shopping experience in St Helens

There’s a B&Q and a Frankie & Benny’s on the Link Road pal, what more could you want?

On a more serious level, I always wonder if these Aussies who come here think we’re just a suburb of Liverpool when they arrive? A lot of them come from places within Sydney that are further from the city centre than St Helens is to Liverpool, and because most of the Sydney clubs are named after areas (Canterbury, Parramatta etc) I always wonder if they just assume St Helens is the same when they arrive.

They probably do. If I get the express home from Lime St, I can leave work and be back at Lea Green in 30 minutes. It doesn't take long at all

In the build up to the Grand Final v Wigan Kristian Woolf did an interview in which he spoke about the great rivalry between the two cities, which amused me.

True. You’re lucky, Lea Green station didn’t exist when I was a kid, we had to walk down to the Junction or get a bus to town to get to Liverpool.

They probably do. The UK has become so city-centric over the past 40 years or so all the medium to large-sized towns are now simply satellites who, the Government imagines must prosper being so near those cities taking all the serious money for continuous development.

    Grrrrr!
