Which should give an idea as to where the problem lies. Last season I thought Ganson was the best, followed by Bentham (despite him not seeming to like us). This year they're all pedantic and over-zealous. All points to the boss really.Originally Posted by Burnley Saint
or perhaps its down to the players and coaches?!? If the refs didn't give the penalties they were there would be complaints that they weren't giving penalties for infringments, they do and they get shot
It's interesting that Karl Kirkpatrick shares our views about the refs getting worse since they went full-time.
He seems to think its because the ref's have too much time on their hands to analyse their performances and rather than keep it simple, they become over-analtytical

Hang on a minute, you can't tell me that those two un-nameables have actually analysed their "performances"?
I'm not actually holding referees wholly responsible for the last few results, but they certainly haven't helped.
Ganson is roundabout the best for me this year, given that he gave something like 10/11 penalities in the Leeds/Wigan game. It flowed on, and that's what I'd like to see.

After watching the highlights of the Leeds Vs Pies, thank Tommy, we can't get Ganson. How on earth can you call the tackle on three separate occassions & then call play on? Winker (misprint).
anything that Kirkpatrick says can be taken with a pinch of salt; he is a bitter fool and is in danger of becoming the Gary Schofield of the refereering world with all his "it was better in my day".Originally Posted by Thatto Heath Saint
