It's been 31 years, since 1974, we last won a major (trophy and) Andrew Johns and Natty (Nathan Wood), our two oldest players were born in 1974 so it's a little bit spooky,
There is a common trait in teams at this point in the season that they seem to sit back and wait for somebody to win the game for them. And we had too many of our players waiting for someone to win the game.
"interfacing at the ruck"
"winning the go-forward"
"i thought we won the collision"
Good for sponsorship, not so good for coverage!

In another way of saying it Bert.
'Balls! Ive got to stay with Sky!'
Might be time for St Bert to open up his hostelry as the base for a local amateur club. That way he'd get a reduced Sky subscription fee.
What's the odds on the Eccleston Lions becoming the George Lions? Who will give me 3/1?

Didn't read the article, assumed it was about the BBC having the Challenge Cup only.
BBC = Poor coverage but better sponsorship
SKY = Better coverage but cheaper sponsorship

If only, your SKY subscription is based on your business rates and takes no account of profitability, type of business or size of premisis.Originally Posted by RVM
I was hoping for a bid from Setanta so I could have got rid of SKY.

I do apologise, I was under the impression that an Amateur RL club was not a business!Originally Posted by Eddie Hemmings' Wig

If there is a discount just for being associated with an BARLA club then anyone wanting to be affiliated with The George, I would hand over 25% of any Sky Subscription saved every year in sponsorship. lol
