    Default Granada

Once again the Granada news coverage of the tragic news of Mike Gregory's sad departure completely floored Look North West.

Mike & Chris Hall always give us good air space compared their compatriots at Auntie beeb.

    Why is this so?

The beeb have the Superleague show and Challenge Cup you would think that their news programmes would support our game better than their rivals.

agreed. the Granada report was fantastic

we now have Inside Sport starting on BBC1 - lets see if they even mention Greg - nevermind have any sort of tribute to him. I can imagine what would happen in a football or RU legend died today so tragically; but I would expect a full hour of England soccer almost qualifying for some competition next year.

as expected, it is a "special edition" about the European Championships qualifying.

TBF to Inside Sport, this would have been filmed days ago. Gabby Yorath-Logan will be tucked up. Hopefully there will be something next week.

    HAHAHAHAHA

Talking about the football, they said that they conducted a survey on Steve McClaren.

Regardless of Qualification, should he still keep his job?

    Yes 50% No 37%

good to see; although it was tagged onto the end - and Martin Jol possibly going to Birmingham got a longer mention/discussion.

Again, it was probably because the programme was already made. I really they cover it properly in the one of their programmes (possibly Grandstand), or else that would be a serious shame.

thanks for posting this link - I wouldn't have been able to see this excellent tribute to Mike Gregory without it.

Yes, thanks for posting this - I've been dahn sarth for the early part of this week and missed the tribute: it was to the point and very moving.

thanks for posting the link, its upsetting to see such a frail young man who once use to be this powerful warrington legend, God knows what he's nearest and dearest are going through at this moment in time

    RIP mike

Just been reading on the Saints Official Site that we will be having a minutes silence before our first home SL game in 2008.

Totally distasteful using Greggo's demise as a means of scoring points against the bbc. Have some respect, it isn't a competition.
I support two teams, SAINTS, and anyone playing wiggin !

I don not think of it as a competition mate, just that they were more moved by the Granada tribute to him as it was outstanding

    dont know.

i heard the trail before it started, and it was yet again about England not qualifying for Euro 2008, with an exclusive interview with Dave Beckham - so I didnt bother watching it.
