A bloody hammering by the Lebanon! I know they played pretty well but Wales getting knocked out by the Lebanon!
It's embarrasing!!!

Not really. That second half was a great display of skillful rugby league. I suppose it did help that Wales were dead on their arses.
I was cheering for Lebanon. I thought they had a great second half and scored some superb tries. Once they cut out their in-discipline they can play quite well and fully deserved their win tonight.
Wales won that game though.......Originally Posted by Sadfish
The Lebanon scrum half was sensational. Scored a try and set two up with blistering pace in what must have been a 10 minute spell. Get him signed!
dont signe him leave him were he is we need players like that for people in lebanon to look to and say i want to be as good as him not "i want to be like keron cuningham" nothing agenst KC but what inspires you more some one who is brillant and plays for a countrey a far distence away or the person who lives down the road and plays outstadingOriginally Posted by Sean Day

So a player from the Lebanon playing at the top flight against top teams in front of large crowds in events like the GF at Old Trafford and the CCF at Wembley and getting paid a (comparative) fortune wouldn't serve as a greater inspiration than playing in the local Lebanese amateur league?Originally Posted by Knight Shadow

I don't understand the cheering for a non british team though, no matter how well they are playing.....Respect it, fair enough but cheering?
they'll make the world cup an absolute fortune if they get there, think of all the lebanese from sydney tipping up to games, there'll be near full stadia wherever they happen to play
Great result for the game.
Lebanon is a country that has never had a team to shout about. Fair enough, we know they are all Australians, but the inclusion of Lebanon in the World Cup could elevate the profile of the sport in the country to a level where people will actively form an interest in the sport (unlike Scotland, Wales and Ireland that participate internationally in much more high profile sports).
Lebanon beating Samoa would be the best result for the game in years.
THIS YEAR LENDING SUPPORT TO:- St. Helens RLFC, Manchester City, Celtic, Alemannia Aachen, Steps 1 to 6 Non-League Football

FOOL !
When I went to Lebanon last year, the Israelis bombed the runway at Beirut airport 24 hours after I was there. Nowt to do with rugby…but a lucky escape.
Gone Walkabout...
I don't think so! Wales won by 2 but Scotland on the aggregate by 5.Originally Posted by Sadfish
