    Default train travel to hudds on saturday- GB Vs NZ

    just incase anyone is travelling over

    yet again, they have managed to make rail engineering work clash with an event in huddersfield

    i notice this on way to work this morning, how? just a little notice on screen in a 3 way rotation
    arrivals
    departures
    announcement

    no big signs or anything

    anyway - details as follows

    Where: Manchester Piccadilly (MAN) to Huddersfield (HUD)
    When: 27/10/2007 to 27/10/2007
    Details: Services on the North TransPennine Route will operate to a revised timetable - alterations summarised as follows:

    Services from Liverpool Lime Street to Scarborough will operate between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Piccadilly only. Services from Scarborough to Liverpool Lime Street will operate between Huddersfield and Scarborough only.

    Services between Manchester Piccadilly and Hull will operate between Huddersfield and Hull only. (except 1802 from Hull which will be replaced by a bus calling at Brough, Selby and Leeds only).
    The 0621 Manchester Piccadilly to Hull service will start from Manchester Airport at 0534 and will be retimed to depart Manchester Piccadilly at 0550. All other times unaltered.

    Services between Manchester Airport and Newcastle / Middlesbrough / Scarborough WILL BE DIVERTED TO START FROM / TERMINATE AT MANCHESTER VICTORIA. Rail replacement buses will operate between Manchester Victoria & Manchester Airport (via Manchester Piccadilly) and between Huddersfield and Manchester Airport via Stalybridge and Manchester Piccadilly.

    The 0526 & 0630 York to Manchester Airport services will terminate at Huddersfield.
    The 0539 Manchester Piccadilly to Newcastle service will be retimed to depart Manchester Piccadilly EARLIER at 0523 and will not call at Stalybridge. All other times unaltered.

    Glad I'm not going now.

    It ended up a hell of a shambles last time around from memory.

    Dont really understand that! Does it affect the Yorkshire side or just Lancashire side?

    It is engineering work that affects the Trans Pennine line west of Huddersfield station. It was the same last Saturday.
