    Default Australia v New Zealand

The Pacific series game tomorrow between Australia and New Zealand is on Sky Sports Arena red button. Is it possible to set up the game to record in advance or do you have to record by hand when the game is broadcast?

I don't think you can record a red button program mate.

I'm sure someone will put it on youtube in the next few days if that helps, not ideal I know but you can still watch on the TV as long as you have a smart TV.

Just wondering, if next season when sky take all matches live, is it not possible to play all matches on a Friday ( or and other day/time) and have them on 1 or 2 channels and have the matches shown via the red button.

I would've thought that's the plan similar to what they've done with football in the past. Red button - multi choice screen - pick your game.

How accurate this is I'm not sure, but it states:

"Sky will still get first choice of two matches a week, with Friday night and Saturday afternoon or Sunday evening set to be the popular options. Channel 4 - and any other free-to-air broadcaster - will then get their pick, with the rest streamed through the Rugby Football League’s Our League platform or Sky’s online services on a pay per view basis as a result of having more cameras at grounds."
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Ridiculous levels of protection for Australia in this game. The play the ball they scored the last try from was comical, threw it through his legs, bounced about four times.

Well that went better than expected. I bumped into Julian O' Neill this morning and we had a chat about the Saints and the Kiwis game but neither of us were close with our predictions.

This Saints team still have the record winning margin against an Australia team. St Helens 44 Australia 2.

Australia well beaten never looked like scoring, Kiwi speed along their backline was the undoing of the Assies. If I learnt anything from this game is never trust an Australia ref refereeing a game were Australia are taking part.

just watching it back now, interesting to see the commentators talking about Australia "playing the long game" in the first half....25 minutes in and they have just done their first offload. NZ moving it around a bit, making a few mistakes but actually looking like creating some opportunities for their wingers.

That's actually one of the very few plus points of international RL.

Well spotted Stiddy, if I had the technical knowhow I would Contact the Sydney morning herald and
give em reminder of that result as it made me angry that they don't remember that fabulous result.

That's what's killed International RL probably, no Aussie or Kiwi tours...no wonder the GB v Aus games drew big crowds the interest and anticipation was built up for the whole tour...seeing the Red Vee of Saints up against the the green and gold of the Aussies looked an amazing site at Knowsley Rd.

I don't know if its the same for other posters but I always thought when it was Great Britain there was less cynical comments on which players came from which club. When we became England and I suppose as social media gained pace we are moaning all the time between pre and post game on certain players that go OTT. Jack Welsby for instance has been attacked from all platforms just because he plays for Saints, would it be less if he was a Great Britain player.
