Just a call out for the ref in the women's semi between Saints and Leeds. He has had, I think, a great game.

He allowed a play the ball after the half time hooter had gone to end the half that they scored from. That’s a shocking basic error

At the time I thought there was a valid reason for it, as nobody seemed to question it, and still haven't in the post-match analysis. Can anybody clarify this? I have just watched it again and as the Leeds player places her foot on the ball the hooter goes, the player stops and the ref waves play on, so she plays the ball again. But his overall decision making throughout the game was clear, quick, and seemed to me to be good. Just thought it worth to point out, given the number of negative comments most of us regularly make about the quality of refereeing.
