Going to be a huge loss and I suspect his legacy will grow in time. I know he hasn't always been appreciated by some but never been able to knock his efforts and he's given everything to us for 14 years. Will miss him and I hope he gets everything he wants out of his post-playing career, I certainly hope he enjoys whatever he does as I suspect he will miss the training ground craic more than most.

A great servant to the club and, at a time when the game is becoming ever more sanitised, a larger than life character.
"The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It is nothing of the kind. The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom." Danny Blanchflower.
Might have been written by a footballer about football - but never a truer word............

I’ve just been reading comments from fans of other teams on Facebook and the ones I’ve read have all been positive. The game is losing a really likeable character.

One of those players you can’t stand when they’re playing against you but have to respect for everything they bring to the game.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Spot on! Great character and a tremendous motivator. He'll be a big loss to the team. I hope he stays involved with the club as his passion and enthusiasm are a huge asset. Good luck with whatever you choose to do Louie!

Always seems one you’d like to have a beer with.

But can you imagine being cooped up on a long dull night shift in the firestation with him?
I hope he can control his enthusiastic language during his training sessions.

Great servant, but his name is still too long.
Loyal and true, not a glory hunter.

Got a bit emotional watching the player videos for LMS. Obviously had such a positive effect on the club in so many ways.
