    Default Play-Off Dates

    Channel 4 fixtures

    Saturday 30th September
    Super League Play Off
    12:45pm 3rd Place v 6th Place*
*Will swap to 4th v 5th if Catalan or Wigan finish 3rd.

    Saturday 7th October
    Super League Play Off
    1:00pm 1st Place v Lowest Rank
*Will swap to 2nd v 3rd if Catalan Finish 1st.

    Just noticed this on line.

So, one thing that is sure is that the highest placed finisher in both rounds plays their tie second, which is surely all wrong.

Therefore, if Saints finish third, then our play-off will be at lunch time on Saturday 30th September, probably against Warrington.

Also, if we do finish third and get to the semi-final, whether we play Wigan or Catalans, it can be deduced that it will be a Friday night game, as we cannot possibly be the lowest ranked team.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding - but if we finish 3rd and play Wigan (2nd) in the semi-final then that will be on the Saturday as it suggests that if Catalans finish 1st they won't be on Sat (per *).

Fair play. If Catalans finish top then we do play Wigan at the DW on the Saturday.

The Pies will finish top, though. No doubt :-)

Anybody any suggestions as to why we are playing our QF on the Saturday?

Surely ours is the biggest of the two and, not that Sky give a $hit, it makes it tough on Leigh fans getting to Hull.

And should we win, it would appear we'd then have to go to Perpignan for the Friday night game in the SF...........

So, not content with bad decisions and suspensions, they are now making our schedule as difficult as possible.

The bias against us is just so blatant

All to do with TV and nothing to do with a bias against us.

Catalan games are Friday as Channel 4 won’t go to France so that’s why it’s then.

Channel 4 also get 3rd v 6th as part of their deal.

Both things were announced before our league position was sorted.

If we beat Warrington next week then the team needs to fly out to Perpignan on the Thursday, trying to do it in just one day is bad preperation and makes it even more difficult.

    One game at a time.

If we get past Wire, which will be a lot more difficult than many think, I'd be confident going to Perpignan

I thought all matches involving Catalans are to be played on Saturday, so you may be getting your knickers in a knot over nothing.

I'm sure I've read Catalans play Friday because C4 won't cover the costs to travel abroad

Flights booked to France. Just small matter of winning next Friday!
Prepared to take the write off versus the price the flights will jump to next Saturday when the scramble begins.
Not cocky just a pragmatic gamble.
