I like both of them, so for once I can't really lose at the weekend. If anything possibly sliding slightly towards Hull KR, but it'll be nice to be able to watch a final not involving Saints and not feel sick about one of the teams winning.

I won’t bother watching which just shows how dull the modern game is, sad day when I’d rather watch football, I only watch Saints nowadays

Same here, should be a good game, both teams have exciting players, Lachlan Lam is one of the best and a good candidate for Lance Todd trophy.

Like most, can't be ar**d. Watch the women and turn off. The perfect outcome for me would be for Leigh to win, can't be doing with Yawkshire. Asiata to go off injured having got his dive wrong and the MRP to decide it is a dangerous technique, As a result the RFL change the rule before the end of the season to protect Asiata from himself. Thus making both the MRP and the RFL the laughing stock of rugby.

I'm looking forward to it too. I'll be there.
A group of us go each year. The guy who organises it is a Wigan fan, so it will be relaxing for both of us just watching as neutrals this time round.
I'm not really bothered who wins. I guess I'd lean towards Leigh for the Lancashire Yorkshire thing (showing my age now!).

I just watched Look North on the BBC, so the Leeds based regional news program. They did a bit on the women's challenge cup final but not a single word about the men's final. And this is for one of their "crown jewel" events.

Yeah bring back the days when Wigan won it every year no matter what side they put out. There was some really thrill a minute finals when that happened.

You think the rugby Leigh and HKR play is dull?

    I’m expecting some great rugby.

Big wide wembley pitch with 2 team liking tp play expansive. Obviously will be a bit of an arm wrestle in the first quarter after that expecting gaps to appear.

For once I’m not too concerned who wins. I was firmly in the Leigh camp until the Asiata fiasco. If Leigh win I’ll be glad a Lancashire side won if it’s HKR I’ll be glad Asiata lost.

    I feel the same
Was really behind Leigh if Saints didn't make it but the scummy tackles have put a dampner on it all

I will be hoping to see him get smashed to bits but hoping for a Leigh win

Why would the Leeds version of LN talk about the men's final when none of their teams are in it? I presume the Hull-based version will have coverage.

Beaumont was on BBC Breakfast yesterday. Spoke about the final and the whole rebrand he put the club through.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Hope HKR win, not sure how Wembley would cope with another pitch invasion if Leigh won.

Pretty well sums up my thoughts too
"The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It is nothing of the kind. The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom." Danny Blanchflower.
Might have been written by a footballer about football - but never a truer word............

Local BBC news is to report on local news. Given it is Hull KR v Leigh I am not sure why you would expect them to talk about it? They talked about the women's final because Leeds are in it...

As someone said above, Beaumont was on BBC Breakfast. I work in media city and unfortunately I did not see any Leopard clad men.

Probably assumed Look North covered Humberside as well (which is a reasonable assumption)

Think they need to ride the crest of this particular wave..... they've done incredibly well with the squad they've got. I'd take Lam and Ipape in a heartbeat if they ever became available but probably that's all. Hope they win.

Because it's Look North (Yorkshire) and I'm fairly sure Hull is in Yorkshire.
