I can’t remember the last time I saw Saints side so weak in the collision.

A six again on your own goal line is an absolute ridiculous call.

Think Saints broke with tradition and celebrated the WCC win with Valium instead of Champagne.

Hull are garbage. We need more from our halves they're completely invisible so far

We are embarrassing. Wellens you are on shaky ground, world champions or not. That’s a reality.

Ben Davies having his best game yet. Involved in 3 try saving tackles and now a try of his own

Huge try. If Hull had managed to keep us out after all those sets that would have been a massive psychological boost to them and blow to us. Brainless to go for the short drop out there though. Good finish Davies.

I thought he dropped that I don't think Saints will win this one. Could there still be a hangover from OZ? Saints look like I feel with long covid.

I said world club would disrupt our season. While we are champ of the world, while playing like this all you open yourself up to is, are Leeds champs of the world? Leigh? Hull are only 4-0 down against world champs. So what does it mean int he end?

I’ll take that, actually. Our threequarters have taken a real hit with no Hurrell, Hopoate and Percival going down minutes before kick-off, so we’re bound to look clunky in attack and have some issues in defence.

Going set for set has been a decent approach, if not the most aesthetically pleasing. We can go set for set with anyone and it’s up to Hull to compete with us, which will hopefully grind them down in the second half. I do still think if they click, they’re dangerous from long range but I don’t feel troubled by them in our twenty.

Lomax and Dodd need to be better with the ball and we should put these away.

I’m sure I’m clutching at straws, but what if there is some sort of illness at the club? Wasn’t Walmsley ill last week? I say this because I’ve seen us play crap at times in recent years (overplaying, mistakes, poor discipline) but I haven’t seen lack of energy like this in recent years. Not moving in a cohesive defensive line, falling off tackles, poor kick chases… All of those have been faultless in virtually every game in the Woolf era. Hangover from Oz can’t be blamed this far on.

Indeed, Davies had a good game away at Hull. Bennison has caught and tackled everything.

We seem a little flat but working hard. We need to kick on now.
I could agree with you but then we would both be wrong.

I’ve been wondering this myself. Whatever the reason, we’re way off our usual pace and have been since kick off. No line speed at all, which is a recipe for disaster with our defensive setup.

There's also hardly any players in movement in attack, it's all so flat footed

Yep, 100%. No shape in attack at all.

Looks like Davies has read a few posts on here tonight. Fair play to him.

We look so flat in attack, it’s embarrassing. We need to stop playing too conservative.
