As stupid as it may sound, I think we (fans) need to forget about him. He's missed more games than he's played and when he is fit to play, he should only play if one of the backs are injured or need rotating. Him coming in and out is no good for continuity in the backline and on current form he shouldn't play in front of Bennison.

At the end of the season, wish him well and move on.

If Percival pulls through training this week we could see our back 5 of Welsby, Makinson, Hurrell, Percival, Hopoate for the first time in SL this year.

I'll be framing that team sheet if it happens.

What was the deal with Percival? Why didn't he play against Hull?

I think Wellens said it was a tight calf in the warm up. It happened right at the end. Percival said he could play but the physios pulled him out as a precaution.

Sounds like Hopoate will be back but not Percival. Davies out for 6 weeks also.

So presumably Welsby, Makinson, Hurrell, Hopoate, Bennison.

Matautia being back means we can shift Bell to 13 to cover Knowles and everything else can stay the same.

I will be happy if we can put that backline out.

    Wingfield

No excuses on this one, it'll be the strongest team we've had out in SL this year probably. Still missing Percival, Batchelor and Knowles but more than adequate cover in their positions available.

Just hope it goes well for Hopo, it would be good for all concerned to see him maintain fitness.

Apart from Wingfield being out I think that Will pretty much be it. We will have other injuries and possible suspensions throughout the year, this side is probably stronger than many of ours will be or have been.

Good - no point playing bordeline fit players at this point, especially if Hoppa and Hurrell are available.

I read he has a late fitness test today and is 50/50, in that case tell him to put his feet up and get ready for next week.

Good luck to Hoppa tonight - hope it’s the start of some better luck for him.

I think he played well considering it was his first game back. Mopped up a few loose balls and apart from a poor tip on pass in the first half he didn't really do much wrong It's the first time in a long time he's played without strapping around his hamstrings. Maybe Wello is right about the injections helping with the scar tissue and this could be a start of a good run of games.

He’s been decent when he’s played. Very composed and is solid in attack and defence. Hopefully he can get a good run and we can see him at his best.

Am I right in saying he has never been on the losing side whilst at Saints?

There were some worrying moments when he was stretching his hamstring though during the second half.

I thought the same then thought if it was his hamstring they would of had him off.I wonder if it was a bit of cramp.

Quiet game, two errors in the first half but then a couple of important effort plays in the second.

It was his first game back and got through it with just a bit of cramp. Hopefully this is the start of a decent run.
I could agree with you but then we would both be wrong.

I think you would naturally keep stretching your hamstrings during a game to stop them tightening up - especially if you’ve had problems with them.
