The Who & UB40 21st July
The Who & UB40 21st July
just wow!!!! Amazing! Well done Saints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great news! Although hopefully the pitch fairs a bit better than the one on show at Headingley this weekend, we're at home against Leeds the week after by the looks of it.
Missed the last one. I won't get fooled again.
Great achievement by the club to host thet gig,all the other venues are basically city status.

also appearing at HKR stadium
I'll have to get the Magic Bus to get there. But it will make me a happy Jack.
Who are playing St Helens
I wonder how many people who baulked at paying £60 to see Tonga PNG in a high quality close rugby league match will willingly pay £140 to see it two 70+year olds and a score of backing musicians muddle through songs of their fathers youth.
Hopefully more money in Saints coffers.
I passed them up at Glastonbury twice so doubt I'll go never been into them.
I thought Saints having tested the water might have been tempted to have a run of gigs over a few nights.
Daltry is a pillock.
Supported Brexit, insisted it wouldn't mean restrictions on British musicians performing in Europe ("What’s it got to do with the rock business? How are you going to tour in Europe? Oh dear. As if we didn’t tour Europe before the f*cking EU. Oh give it up!”) then complained and whined when leaving meant restrictions on British people working in the EU. Another 'cakeist idiot'.
I won't be going.
He's not the Messiah, he's a naughty boy.
Never really listened to their music despite it being my genre. Good to see Saints pushing the stadium to try to get some dollar though. How much will the club make from this? And is it definitely the club that benefits and not some stadium management company? I don't see why they don't get three or four or even more of these booked in during the summer.
£74 Standing. £140 seating. I can already hear the shock of people at those prices but I know from vast experience that they are the going rate! We just paid over £100 for Roger Waters. ELO was £110 but they cancelled due to Covid. Its what you pay these days. Saints have a great stadium for Mid range bands. Ideally located between Liverpool and Manchester. I did see Elton John at leigh and have been to a few at Haydock Park. It could be a great income for the club. Oh and hopefully I will get a standing ticket on Friday and will be rocking my socks of on the 21st July! 5th time seeing The Who and walking distance home!
