    Default Reserves Vs Swinton

Did anyone get down to the Reserves vs Swinton today?
I could agree with you but then we would both be wrong.

Yes. Swinton always had the edge in experience but there wasn't a great deal in it. Was a tough game. Bruines had a decent game and scored from a loose pass from around half way. Moss looked busy and Delaney held his own in the middle

What is your opinion on Bruines? Is he first team potential for this season, or is it a longer term one, if at all?

Physically he looked like he could handle a step up, a tall lad and perfect build for a centre. He had enough pace to go half the length of the field and hold off the chasers and showed strength to take 3 defenders over the line with him on another occasion but was just held up. Hard to tell off one game but seems to have the raw ingredients

It will probably be all on Wello, he will see all the enthusiasm from Bruines and will be challenging as back up centre replacing Ben Davies.

Like you say only one game, and reserve level, but what you wrote about him seems encouraging.
