We enjoyed the game same format as the usual testimonial start with a few first team players and put a score on then rotate academy so game gets tighter towards the end boys did well we where sat in the Widnes part of the ground but we had a great bit of banter with them all in all just nice to get back to the Saints ground and watch live Rugby.

Thought the game would have been on Saints TV by now.

Thought Sambou looked bigger and stronger than previous but he made an awful decision by randomly flying in which would've cost us a try against anyone half decent. Thankfully their lad fell over.

Only young so not a big issue but would be very wary to throw him in a SL game at the minute IMO.

Was a mixed bag of a game but was just about miles in the legs and no injuries which appears to be the case. Great to see Dodd back out there, looked a lot bigger as well I thought.

Itll come - it looks like they prioritised getting the Wellens interview out as he leaves on Tuesday would expect the highlights and game to be out later today.

Bell plays well whenever given the chance. Why does he not get more chances? Is it just because he is behind Knowles and not as good as the Sironen, Matautia, Bentley and co? Or does his face just not fit? Maybe he should be getting a run at hooker?

How did Dodd go? Was he kicking yesterday?

I think the bit in bold answers your question (although I'm guessing Bentley was a slip for Batchelor). He's a good player, Bell, but we have serious quality and depth in our back row. He could probably do a job at hooker, at a pinch, but I wouldn't pick him there ahead of Lussick or Roby.

Batchelor! Of course. Shame for Bell, he is too good to be spending his career in the reserves
