    Default Lewis Murphy

love Saints to poach this raw young talented winger from Wakefield - great prospect but still has a year on his contract left I think - he ran past Mamo with Offiah kick in Cas game

He does look a good prospect. I think the club was probably keeping an eye on which club goes down before making any moves on a winger. But it seems highly likely Toulouse go down now and we don't want either of their wingers.

First time I’ve seen him play tonight. Looks a very good finisher, particularly competing for kicks. No idea what he’s like defensively as Hull have been utter garbage.

Murphy would be a great signing for us but I think he's in contract until the end of next year. I do wonder if he's on the radar and it is relevant to Woolfs having patience comments.

There will be more than Saints interested in him.

If Saints want you you should not want to go elsewhere.

Give over, he might not want to travel. He might get more money from another club. He might want to go to a club he supported as a kid.

Travelling and family can be an issue.

In Yorkshire Leeds would normally be first choice if a player wants to step up his career, on this side of the Pennines it would be Saints or Wigan maybe even Wire.

Depends if he is ambitious or not

Need to see more of his game, remember we signed Turner on the basis he could run fast.

If we can get Konrad fit and up for the season then signing Lewis is a no brainer.

He's just scored an outrageous try. He's going to be some player.

They wouldn't be doing goodbye send offs in the game that secures them safety from relegation I wouldn't imagine.

Apparently him and his brother want to play in the same team before they retire, no idea if that's accurate, but read somewhere they are both playing for a team in the NRL together

Murphy didn’t kick one. Jowitt got 2 and Fifita got one.

78th minute for Fifita’a conversion, definitely a send off.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

I somehow completely missed the Fifita part of that post!

Brilliant try from him last night.

He signed a 2 year deal in July 21 so we would need to pay a fee, but so what. He would be even better at Saints outside Percy.

We’re about to grab 100k for winning the League that I assume wouldn’t have already been accounted for?

It also seems like Wakefield are needing a bit of a rebuilding with Fifita/Arona/Batchelor leaving on top of Topou retiring and Lineham flopping, a couple of our fringe players in a swap deal, and a couple of loans of our kids may be enough along with the LLS cash, if the club are actually looking to put a bid in (which no one has actually suggested is the case, it’s all very much fan chat at the moment)

Simm is OOC so not a bargaining chip unfortunately.

Hopoate, Norman + Sumner on loan for Murphy and sign Ashall-Bott to replace Hopoate as a back up back would be incredible work.
