How are you making out we need a miracle to beat Salford at home in a semi final?? Yeah they are in form but we have won the league this season with a lot of adversity so beating Salford with a squad we have put down isn’t gonna take a miracle just a really good performance

    Salford looking at:

    Brierley
    Sio
    Cross
    Lafai
    Burgess
    Atkin
    Sneyd
    Dupree
    Ackers
    Gerrard
    Watkins
    Taylor
    Wright

    Vuniyawara
    Ormonroyd
    Luckley
    Bourouh/Livett/Sarginson

    I'd imagine.

For all the injuries if we played the team YG suggested I'd probably only take their LC, LW and FB over anyone in our 17. Position for position, with Percival v Burgess on wing etc.

Quite - strongest and most balanced side we've named in a long time and certainly good enough to get the win.

Sorry badly worded - the miracle is getting a strong side onto the pitch at the right time.

Most certainly…. Croft being out in my opinion limits Salford they will shift the ball to the edges as soon as they can…. sneyd will have the cleanest shirt after the game we just need pressure hes kicks and target him in defence….. the first 15 minutes are important

You would have to assume Percy is ready to go given he is poster boy for the team sheet. Bit of a •••• take if not.

We know Salford have the capability to take teams apart on the edges so we need to dominate the forwards and deny them field position. We have the pack to roll them over even without Walmsley.

With regards to selection it all comes down to how much Woolf trusts Bennison at full back in a big game. Woolf has shown to be conservative defensively in the past so wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Welsby at full back and Davies at 6.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Yes indeed. Should be good to watch.

No point thinking too much about it until kick off.
I could agree with you but then we would both be wrong.

TYG team for me as well.

We need as many of our senior players on the pitch as possible. Sironen, Sione and percy makes the left edge solid.

Davies is solid and has done ok, but he shouldn’t be anywhere near this semi final.

Curtis Sironen, 17. Agnatius Paasi, 19. Jake Wingfield, 20. James Bell, 22. Ben Davies, 23. Konrad Hurrell, 26. Sam Royle, 27. Jon Bennison, 31. Taylor Pemberton.

    Assuming Percival is OK:

    Bennison
    Makinson
    Hurrell
    Matautia
    Percvial
    Welsby
    Lomax
    Paasi
    Roby
    Lees
    Batchelor
    Sironen
    Knowles

    Lussick
    Bell
    Wingfield
    LMS

Davies, Pemberton and Royle to miss out.

I really really hope he doesn't go with Bennison wing, Welsby 1 and Davies at 6.
I’d be happy with that side YG, go hell for leather for the first twenty minutes and put them under pressure. Our defence will be key as it has all season, looking forward to it. COYS!

Woolf's options are to go Bennison, Lomax, Welsby at 1, 6 and 7, or Welsby, Davies, Lomax.

Bennison is a natural full back. Davies is a centre, who would be asked to play 6 in a play off semi.

Seems a no brainer to me. I'd be stunned if Woolf played Davies at half back.

Woolf has been talking Percival up as the most influential centre in the competition. Do we think there’s a chance he plays Percival and Bennison at centre and wing with Mata’utia back in the forwards? At least then there’s cover if Percival isn’t fully fit.

Mata’utia played wing for Aus so maybe we have it the wrong way around?

Woolfe has consistently chosen Davies at #6. There have been been plenty of opportunities to give Bennison a good run out at full back but he has played him on the wing, in particular the game against Wigan recently - so I would be surprised if he changes from that now.

And Percival has never played on the wing has he? Even as a rookie he was always picked at centre
