He put his body literally on the line in that last Grand Final and I, for one, wish him nothing but success and happiness. He owes Saints absolutely nothing and I hope his time in the UK this time round is a little less turbulent for him and his family.
Why highlight friend? I know somebody that knew them and socialised with Lily, that was all. My point is that we could have had him here this season and next if she hadn't put so much pressure on him. Nobody is doubting his commitment to the cause when he was here.

And to be fair to Lily, people are entitled to change their minds too. She's perfectly entitled to decide it wasn't the right time for her and her family to be in the UK and it's also perfectly within her rights to decide that going back to the UK is fine 12 months later. We've got to remember the effects of covid, that affected an awful lot of people in the UK mentally will have been compounded several times over for someone from outside the UK. That time was awful for everyone and I don't blame them for wanting to go back to Australia at that point, it's a totally understandable reaction.

Whatever the reasons are is irrelevant really. Kev was fantastic for us and was a big part of our success. He should get a heros reception when he comes back to the Totally Wicked, like Lee Gilmour did.

    They’re good memories.

Should have our best wishes as long as he doesn’t perform like that against us .

She’s had a pop at me on Instagram for writing about wanting to go home the whole time they were over here. She said they nearly lost the baby because she was covid positive whilst kev was in the car park. Sounds like that was a real game changer!

I'll be interested to see where Naiqama plays for Huddersfield. Played full back for Fiji, wing for Roosters, centre/wing for us. Watson has stated he wants to keep Cudjoe and Leutele plus they've got King already.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Cudjoe and Leutele both OOC and not re-signed.

Signing Naiqama puts the pressure on them to sign.
If one of them signs I don't thin kthey will retain the other.

King would be a second row.
More likely they will find the receipt and return him to Wire.

Well done Huddersfield, I never saw that coming. A big fan of Naiqama from his first try to his last, hope he gets a great reception when he returns.

An outstanding player and bloke, I wish him every success with whatever he decides to do. How any Saints fan can make any other comment is beyond me, the guy gave his all and always performed in the big games.

Plus they have McGillvary too of course. For me, I'm surprised Huddersfield have signed Naiqama. His best years are behind him and respectfully, that's true of most of their backs- I look at there threequarters and think where's the strike? I think that's an area were they fall down.
*Not to be confused with Mike Stephenson, MBE

    They’ve signed Bibby too.

That threequarter line dossn't look all that creative, I think they are expecting a lot from Russell and Pryce next season and with Levi being part of the spine, is this going to be the old Wigoon version that Watson talks about.

So taking his wife’s wishes and emotions into account before making life-changing decisions is equal to her ‘putting pressure on him’? Imagine being on the other side of the world and having a baby alone, with covid and your husband in the car park and imagine how that might affect your mental health. You said ‘money talks’ but perhaps Kevin and his wife talk and work out the best decisions for their family. Your friend has their opinion of his wife and has imparted the same to you. That’s all it is, an opinion. Nobody but Kevin and his wife know the truth behind their decision-making.

Cudjoe is well past his best from what I have seen this year - injuries have taken their toll. retaining Leutele is a no-brainer as I see it…

Naiqama was a very special player for us and came up with some brilliant Tries.

If he and his family now feel in a better position to return to the UK and super league then all the best too them. He's earned it.

Look forward to seeing him next season when Hudds come to town.

Just heard a rumour that he’s going to Wigan for the remainder of the season. I don’t know if this is even possible now with the transfer market closed etc., but if it’s true, and they’ve somehow managed it, then we’ve dropped the ball here!

If they had then they would of announced it. The deadline for signings was July 22nd. So file it in the total rubbish rumour pile on your way out

The deadline has passed but that doesn't mean they didn't get the registrations in order before.
