Got told last week that he’ll be out for 12 weeks!!
22nd June - Woolf says they're hoping he'll be back for the Catalans game but no guarantee as it hasn't healed as well as hoped.
29th June - Woolf says the injury still hasn't healed but no expected return date as they want to be cautious so it doesn't reoccur when he does return.
13th July - Woolf says the injury still hasn't healed so they sent him to a specialist who's said another three or four weeks.
Not sure what people are expecting beyond that. Unless you think the club should be psychic and know exactly how the injury is going to heal.
At least we have a new timeframe with Percival. If he doesn't return in 3-4 weeks then it will start to become concerning I think.

Deff something wrong.. it was 4 more weeks,, then again a few more weeks. Now not even mentioned in injury reports on players , just what the hell is wrong. How long has it been now 11/12 week .let’s have a proper update instead of it’s little jiggles…
What's the point of an update? They told us two weeks ago what was going on and you've still decided that's rollocks and something is 'very wrong'.
If the specialist said it's another three or four weeks what else are they supposed to tell us? Sporting injuries aren't certainties. If they get to the end of that four weeks and it still hasn't healed, what more can they do? He'll be ready when he's ready.
So why bother with any of them then? We get player update information repeated at each weekly press conference. I'm just saying the whole situation has been odd from the start of Percivals injury when it was 1st described as a "niggle"
We’re doing ok without him, I’d rather get him right and ready for the business end of the season.
Makinson is possible for next week which is why they’re updating, and Hopoate is going to a specialists. Both are “new” information to fans, where as they as they told us Percival will be a couple of weeks after Makinson and thus presumably has no update to give since then.
Some injuries you simply don’t know how long . Some injuries can also be career ending which I feel this might be , particularly if it’s a soft tissue injuries . Tendinitis for example can be life long , reoccurring , gradually getting worse with each flare up extending recovery time and rehab . It is odd the club have not give any indication to the issue however he does have a right not to disclose .
He might be experiencing personal issues , mental health issues also . We simply don’t know .
We just need to be patient and hope he is ok and comes back soon
They probably won't risk playing him until they know he's 100% recovered, its no good taking the slightest of risks at the moment only to see him back on the side lines. I reckon we will see him in the Hull KR home game building up towards the play offs.
Makinson back for the Castleford game solves a lot of backline balance problems, Bennison to full back and Welsby to half back, then we see Hopoate and Percival back afterwards to be almost full strength.
Given the cushion we have in the league and stage we are in the season, Saints won't take any risks with players now. We've got some good players coming back in over the next 2-3 weeks and hopefully they will then get a run of games to build up form for the play offs.
I suspect once the LLS is secure we will rest players too like Roby, Welsby, Lomax etc who have played pretty much every game and have alot of minutes under their belt.

We should be focusing on The Lussick, Roby, Lomax Welsby spine getting used to each other as much as possible.
Hopoate for me shouldn't go straight into the team until he proves he can handle 80 mins of physicality I would put him in the reserves if there is a fixture coming up. I suggested Bennison for a spell because he is pretty reliable now in that full back position and is still needs development opportunities.
He’ll probably do a Lee Smith and get MOM at Old Trafford

Well at least someone is being told what the squad injuries are,
Norman joins Tommy Makinson (hamstring), Will Hopoate (pec), Mark Percival (knee), Lewis Dodd (Achilles) and Matty Foster (knee) on the sidelines, while Sione Mata’utia continues to serve a ban.
