It is dreadful, but in this instance the story does seem to have come via the Australian press.

I would imagine he’d be out of our price range, sadly.

Who are our marquee players? If we have room there then we could easily afford him. If not then he won't be coming back ( assuming as you allude to the we/he would want to )

It’s nice to get some good news and it’s also good to learn that he may value family ties more than money. As someone else has indicated, it would also be good to get Regan to sign another deal.

It’s great business by Saints. If he rips it up for the next 2 years an NRL club would pay a big transfer fee to get him as he’s still under contract.

    Same thing happened with Bateman.

Fantastic news, along with Walmsley he's become the most crucial player in our side. Defensively he is an absolute monster of a player and I can't wait to see him improve more over the next few years as he hits his peak. He's a future captain and it is potentially his role to take when Roby retires. I can only see it being between him, Walmsley and Lomax.

I think just becoming a father has been a big factor in him staying here. His family will be settled, the last thing they'll want to do is move abroad any time soon so it's probably a blessing for us that.

Great news about Morgan. It ought to send shivers down the spines of our opposition teams.

I second the call for him to get captain after Roby (though I suspect Lomax will get it)
Exactly my thoughts. This is excellent news. Captain Morgan has a nice ring to it, someone should use that!
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Early Christmas present that news. He is my favourite player and I told him so when I saw him in Tesco!

Brilliant news. As others have said, I expected Morgan to go and have a go at the NRL. Given how similar players to him are rated over there he was an obvious pickup for an Aussie club.
I could agree with you but then we would both be wrong.

I get the feeling that Thompson is trying to muscle his way out of his contract. The Bulldogs are a mess but Thompson has looked pretty good. If Thommo can get a transfer to the Storm or another Sydney club I am sure he would settle down more.

We've already proved we can manage without Thompson, lets move on. I trust the management enough to say they are building for the future already by signing up all the best of the young players.

Interesting that on his social media, Knowles states he’s glad he gets to spend a couple more years with the players and staff. Doesn’t say 4 years.

Could be nothing in it or could be that he fully expects to go to the NRL for a transfer fee in 2 years.

Or that he is expecting a proportion of the staff and players to move on in that time, we do have quite a few players in their early to mid thirties after all, plus do we expect KW to still be here in 2 seasons time?

He's probably refering to Woolf, Robes, Lomax, LMS, Amor, Passi, Matautia isn't he.

    I wouldn't bet on that.
