    Default Willie Aspinall

St Helens born and bred and always lived locally, but a Warrington stalwart sadly died recently, I'm sure many on this forum recall him from his days at Warrington but also as a local landlord at the Eagle and Child Rainford, best wishes to all his family, always tried his hardest against St Helens with the likes of others like Brian Glover

Good mate of Voll. They'll be enjoying a pint together upstairs no doubt.

I remember talking to him many years ago about the best way to pass a rugby ball ie spin pass or orthodox he went for the latter. May he rest in peace.
    Bringing it all back home.

Was one of the coaches when I was a young lad playing at Blackbrook.
    Sad news. RIP Willie.

Remember him being a very useful stand-off for the Wire. Always thought he was Lancashire's equivalent of Castleford's (and GB's) Alan Hardisty.
Didn't know he was from St Helens. Good player, with a touch of class.
