How can the super league look to narrow that gap in quality. Or do we think its just not possible and it will always be this way, for the foreseable future at least.?

Reduce the number of games, increase the cap, increase investment in youth (there is no upper limit on this). Unfortunately, financially those things are incompatible for all in RL, which means no one should with our current set up and philosophy.

The NRL currently has pretty much the pick of the athletically inclined kids and have invested in structures and pathways for them to become superstars. Here we have to compete with RU, football, cricket and when we do get them 9/10ths don’t get the structures or training they need. If all 12 clubs had an academy set up like Saints/ Wigan/ Leeds, it would be a good starting point for narrowing the gap.

We are never going to narrow the gap. The NRL gets so much more media attention and therefore sponsorship and viewing figures and doesn't have to compete as much with other sports. This in turn attracts more young players into the game.
