if , as expected, Thompson is omitted , it will cap a very disappointing stay at Saints.

But he does go with a Challenge Cup medal after playing at Wembley and hopefully a Grand Final medal.

He'd be in for me to help deal with McMeekan. Give Matautia a breather.

No one mentions McMeekan and I think he's a very dangerous, destructive runner

Can't see there being any changes to last week's 17 for this one.

He has also had the Saints/Wigan Derby win experience at the DW stadium.

He peaked then troughed at Cas, but seems to have picked up at Cats. Playing much more agressive now than earlier in his career.

Yes same 17, you could potentially swap out Amor as he didn't play many minutes in the semi but you feel that any replacement would have a small role too.
I could agree with you but then we would both be wrong.

Can't win them all pal. It will be very, very hard on Saturday. Not remotely interested in what the media are saying.

It’s gonna be a tough game mate. We should never have lost at Newcastle but ultimately, we did. They’ve done us twice this year. They look like a team building towards something. It’s easy to fall in that trap of not giving them enough credit but at the end of the day they have some good players who have won trophies at other clubs not to mention the success the club itself had at Wembley only 3 years back.
I don’t think there will be 6 points in it.

Might come back to bite me, but I'm very confident we'll win on Saturday. Magic weekend gave us the kick up the backside and I don't think we'll give Catalans an inch on Saturday.

Whilst I would never "do a Wigan" and get ahead of myself, I am also confident we will win. We have the big game experience and the know-how to win this game. I am very confident we will get plenty ball in the right areas so as long as we are clinical and take our chances then we will win the game in my opinion. It won't be easy and one thing we certainly can't do is let them get a couple of scores up and leave us chasing the game, but if we start well and take our chances that will inevitably come, we will be Champions once more.

I’m confident that as this is our 4th final in 3 years, and having won the last 3, we have that big-game attitude and swagger.

Shades of 2017, when Cas went to the final having beaten Leeds earlier in the season and won the LLS only to fall to Leeds big-game experience and control.

Going to go for a 21-10 score line to the Mighty Saints.

I’m expecting another tough game like two of the three we’ve played this year, where Catalans have won by four and one. They’re a good side and have been very good this year, it won’t be easy at all.

I do believe the old adage of you have to lose a GF first before you win one & I think Catalan will struggle handling the occasion.

Woolf has said it's the same 17 (I think in a Q&A with Mike Crtichley). Surprised me he'd state that so early but suppose what is there to hide?

I don’t think Woolf does mind games, if he gets all his players firing on all cylinders and puts Catalans under enormous pressure he probably knows it will be good enough.

This team of ours are ‘very together’ and will not give Catalan any time to settle into their game, it’s going to be a hard game but the opposition is very likely going to be given a hard time more than any other game that they have played this year.

Keep the silly handling errors to a minimum and stay switched on for the full 80 minutes and I'm very confident we win the game.

    Yep.

Also, both of their halfbacks are appalling defenders, so there will be opportunities to exploit that if we can get the ball to the edges. It's no good going wide if we're not going forward, though, so step one will be to get on top, or at least establish a foothold, in the middle and, as you say, look after the ball. Easier said than done against a big, aggressive pack.

Yep. I feel similar. It's the size of their pack, McMeekan and Maloney that worry me

Nothing wrong with being confident. I'm a pessimist by nature. Think I've realised how much the club has meant to me during the last 18 months.

Also how I was really unsure about Woolf after losing at Cas pre lockdown. I'd be delighted if he won another title to prove me wrong even further
