Default Old Trafford Grand Final Seat Rules

Guys, has anyone seen a set of seating rules for OT on Saturday. Previous years we have been unable to take any alcohol to our seats. Have these rules been relaxed or not
This was not the case at Wembley, we could willingly take food and beer to our seats to relax and enjoy.

You could take beers to your seat in 2019. Hopefully same rules apply on Saturday.

That's right - although I think it's more by goodwill gesture than 'absolute right'.

One bunch of ••••ed-up absolute whoppers (seemed to be an extended family) sat behind us were pulled-up by the stewards for trying to carry through to their seats an entire crate of Heineken they'd just bought from the bar.

Yeah I imagine there'll be some dickheads abusing it. I can't see them stopping anyone walking in with 1 or 2 though.

Be interested to see whether they keep the pricing the same as the football as they’ve started doing the 500ml bottles of lager/cider for £3 on match days.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

I spoke with a steward in the concourse in tier 2 of the Stretford End at the Man United v Aston Villa game the other week. He said it would not be allowed to take alcohol to your seats at this year’s Grand Final. He said it was banned in 2019 but they gave up in the end as it was impossible to police as so many were taking beer through.

So take a coat and put the bottles in your pockets then?

Officially you are not allowed to drink in your seats. Unofficially, if you are sensible and don’t take the p1$$ the stewards turn a blind eye to it.
Can't stop the spirits when they need you.

It's a balancing act. Like to have a good pre match session but be sensible enough to enjoy and remember the game! I usually get it right and had fair bit of practice.

Slow and steady for me. 3-4 pints before, 2 or 3 during and then (result depending) quite a few more after! Home for midnight, open a bottle of something and order the boxing if I can still see!
