Need to target Lui and Leeming. If Gale plays then go after him big time.

Lui is the one I’m worried about. His running game has caused us problems before and he often seems to save his best performances for games against us. Gale has no bottle and will cack himself with the way Knowles and Lees hunt the kicker.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Unfortunately you can predict Gale doing his best to get one of our back rowers sin binned or sent off for a late contact whilst kicking on the last tackle.

Gale isn't even in the squad so that would be pretty impressive

Beware Leeds. It could be a very difficult game. Any complacency or overconfidence would be a big, big mistake.
Theoretically, I would prefer we were meeting Wigan or Warrington despite both finishing higher in the league.
I expect a really tough and possibly close game.

Definitely the one to target we need to get him to do a lot work and take the energy out of him, I'm not too bothered about Leeming as much he's doing a reasonable job at scrum half but his game management is average.

Plenty of traffic to go Lui’s way he was gassed after 10 minutes last week.

Since we last played them they’ve got their two best front rowers and their best half back in the team. I’m expecting them to be a very different proposition to what they were a few weeks ago.

The annoying thing is that they'd need to pull out an amazing performance to beat us, throw everything at it.

If they did win, they'd have nothing left in the tank for the GF, and I'd expect Catalans to beat them easily.

It won't be easy tonight. Their pack is strong and they will probably match us for spells through the middle. But apart from Newman I can't see them having enough to trouble us out wide. We have the best defence in the league and I honestly can't see them scoring more than twice. We take the chances that we will inevitably create then we will be fine, but it won't be easy.

If we play at 70%, Ref at 70% (against) Leeds 100% we lose the game by a few points. Think we need to throw everthing at them in the first quarter.

If were scared of Robert Lui then we may aswell pack up and go home. Overweight, fat, no stamina and definately using Stanley Genes passport.

    Come on!!

Feeling positive about tonight really. I think the KR shock last week was perfect for us in two ways, not having to play our bogey side and keeps the players on edge in terms of possible upsets.

As mentioned, Leeds will be miles better than last time we played. It'll be very much like the cup game but this time they'll have some backs but we played quite poorly that day and still got it over the line.

I'd have it a 65/35 in our favour and you'd always take those odds.

Play well and we'll be at OT.

Play our game, we win. It’s simple. Get sucked into anything else and we risk losing.

In response to Titan - Given space and time he’s a threat. He bossed Wigan last week (not saying much I know) with his kicking game.

Leeds will be a totally different outfit to when we last played them. Having Oledzki back is massive for them, Tetevano also adds some more size and power to their pack.

This isn’t an easy match at all. Hopefully Leeds produce the same amount of mistakes as they did against Wigan.

Cops some unfair stick. I think he's been a terrific player for us
I agree Ralph, he has been very good for us and excellent in big games, he has one attribute that cannot be coached, pace, he causes problems and keeps defenders in two minds because of this. Very sharp up to 40m and can keep that maintained reasonably up to 60m.

Paasi has had several games where he has changed the game coming on. We need to be clinical, get ahead and we'll have an easy night. Let Leeds into the game and it'll be tough. If they're shackling Walmsley we need to be clever and shift the ball. Their outside backs are shocking bar Newman, we need to exploit that if they're obsessing over Big Al.

Easier said than done, best prop in Superleague, lethal 10 to 15 metres out.

    1. Lachlan Coote, 2. Tommy Makinson, 3. Kevin Naiqama, 4. Mark Percival, 5, Regan Grace, 6, Jonny Lomax, 8. Alex Walmsley, 9. James Roby, 10. Matty Lees, 11. Joel Thompson, 13, Morgan Knowles, 14. Sione Mata’utia, 15, LMS, 16. Kyle Amor, 17. Agnatius Paasi, 18. Jack Welsby, 19, Aaron Smith, 20, Joe Batchelor, 21. Lewis Dodd, 23, Jake Wingfield, 29. Ben Davies.

The Lomax/Dodd/Welsby debate has been done to death and I genuinely don't have a clue what he will do. So I will have a guess at what I think it'll be, not necessarily what I would do. There's also an interesting competition for bench spots with Amor, LMS, Thompson, Wingfield, Paasi fighting for 3 spots in my eyes.

    Coote
    Makinson
    Naiqama

    Grace
    Lomax
    Dodd
    Walmsley

    Lees
    Batchelor
    Matautia
    Knowles

    Welsby (I know, I know )
    LMS
    Paasi
    Thompson

Amor, Wingfield, Davies and Smith to miss out.
That's the team just announced apart from Amor for Thompson

I said a few weeks back that we’d seen the last of Thompson. I think he would have been a good signing a couple years back but like Laffranchi back in 2014, he’s getting on and there are better players in his way. Fair play to him not hanging around next year.
Feel bad for Welsby being on the bench but it is what it is. Hopefully he comes on making a big impression like he did at Wembley.

Let's hope we stop Dwyer from the bottom of the ruck too close to the line. It's not like teams shouldn't know what he is going to do.

We'll have to keep Man of Steel, Harry Newman, quiet too!
