    Default Coote one match ban

Have heard Coote has got a one match ban for going in with his knees against Leeds. You couldn't make it up I can't remember anything like that happening and certainly not spotted by our sky friends.
The rfl must go through our video with a fine tooth comb. Absolute joke and Casiano gets away with a blatant crusher tackle.

Hopefully an appeal. He's not a dirty player.

Could we argue that Dwyer pulled Coote's knees into him?

It's more grist to the mill of the disciplinary f*cking us over repeatedly, though.

As others have pointed out, some players do this over and over every game. Not a peep from the disciplinary.

It’s what worries me about the Salford game. Slightest thing and we end up with a player ban for the play-offs.

Yep and probably double the ban. As has been said, best left out of the Salford game.

Seems harsh but it’s only Salford and we’ve secured 2nd so I’d not be surprised if they just accepted it.

Absolutely! Slides in with both knees when arriving late as try scorer is going over. Never picked up.

Oh don’t get me wrong Tomkins may well get away with similar tactics and we know the RFL isn’t great at consistently punishing offences.

That being said Coote shouldn’t have done what he did and he probably knows it too.

A lot of people have touched on the main point and that is consistency. I have no problem with Coote getting a ban for sliding in with his knees as long as every time someone else does it they get the same punishment.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

It’s a fair ban. He was very late, led with the knees and made contact. I’m not really arsed what other people allegedly do or don’t get away with and don’t buy this anti-Saints agenda as three out of the four pots you can win are safely in our possession.

I can't even recall the incident to be honest, but we are at the point where if you fart on a pitch these days you'll get banned.

I’ve watched it back and at about 36 minutes 46 seconds he does go into Dwyer with both knees and Dwyer was clearly in some pain. I don’t think it was deliberate but the punishment is probably fair.

We need to move on, could have been worse and got a 2 match ban.

    Yep, you're right as usual.
I was really annoyed when I saw he'd copped a ban. I couldn't remember any incidents from the ground but, having watched it again, he does make contact with Dwyer, a complete accident but fair do's.
Just hope for consistency going forward

The whole disciplinary process is so inconsistent, along with the referees, it is untrue and we seem to cop yellow cards PLUS bans for things other clubs players are getting away with as yellow card sufficient.
It is a complete and utter joke and if it is being done to get different names on different trophies then the RFL are walking on very dangerous ground alongside their undoubted complete incompetence. They will be scoffing and back slapping as they get a new name on the LLS and it would be no surprise to anybody should a new name (probably the same one) appears on the Grand Final trophy. If supporters can see their antics why are the press not more vocal or are they being led along by some faceless goon from the hierarchy.
It may sound fanciful and sour grapes but I think the RFL have by their incompetent actions fuelled the thinking along these lines. Dogs hind legs and nine bob notes are surely belonging in the same sentence as our unglorious leaders.
On the Back foot looking for the front one.

I watched it back and thought the same, no complaints. I just hope other players doing that, get the same ban.

I,ve just watched it back this morning, fair cop a one match ban is correct for that challenge and the fact that Dwyer got hurt from it.

Yes, you are correct. I didn’t spot it at the time. But watching the sky plus........

But 5 mins earlier, that ugly toe rag Dwyer punched Grace as he was putting the ball down.
    No penalty
    No sin binning
    No 8 point try

    No ban

    What happened to ‘fair’?

I don’t remember Grace ever play acting when he’s been fouled, which reduces the chance of even a penalty when the ref is making a live call. If you saw the punch, however, it makes me wonder how the individual who reviewed the video of the game missed it. Maybe they’re also influenced by players rolling around.

You've got to be joking? Punched?

He reached out to try and out his hand under the ball and didn't even make contact with Grace bar his forearm rubbing his shoulder.

The slow mo is at 30 seconds and if that's a punch I'll do a lap of the Totally Wicked naked at the semi.
