The season paused before splitting the league into two. Saints are in with Wigan, Leeds, York and Cas.

They were due to play Leeds last week but they (Leeds) couldn't raise a team. Cas are up next on Sunday then Wigan after that. Not sure what happens after that with playoffs or GF.

Did our girls get awarded the win? You know, like York (or maybe Cas) did when we couldn't raise a team (injury & Covid)

Yes the saints ladies season is coming to an end. They played Castleford yesterday at Lock Lane Rugby club winning 50 -6. On Sunday they play their final mini league game against Wigan (hopefully at the Totally Wicked) having already guaranteed a top two finish. The top four clubs probably at the moment York, Cas, Leeds, and saints will then play two semi finals both to be televised on Sky as a double header being played at our stadium.

Interesting to see how seriously the different clubs are taking women's rugby. It seems to be one of, if not the only, growth area in the sport with participation numbers well up. However whilst clubs like Saints and York seem to be taking it seriously, you've got other teams pulling out and you've got Warrington forfeiting a League 1 semi-final as they couldn't find a way to get their side to Hull for the game. I just hope Saints and enough other teams stick at it and maintain or improve the league. It would be another disaster for the sport if the womens game was allowed to fall away again.

Looks like Leeds ladies are the only team capable of beating our Saints Ladies then?

We dominated them in the CCSF, controlled the game almost perfectly.

I think our only 'loss' this season was when we forfeited the game (Cas? York?) for being unable to field a full team.

Only 14-0 up at half time, messy errors from the saints ladies, expect them to score 20+ more points in the second half to lift the LLS.

Well done girls. Very entertaining & skilful game, especially the 2nd half.

One of the worse games I,ve seen them play this season, they need to cut out all those errors for the play offs. Hope they get the treble never been done before.

With Gaskin out with a career threatening injury and both Rudge and Cunningham going off injured in the game it should have been 75-0.

I agree. Worse game I’ve seen them play. 2nd half was better and some good tries, but lots of dropped balls. Putting it down to the fact that Saints were not really threatened. But at times the lack of concentration was obvious. That’s said it was an enjoyable couple of hours.
