I can see why Pearce is up there, he was still playing well at NRL level this year. I think he's a good addition for Catalans as is Dylan Napa.

On Cust, he showed some good touches in limited game time for Manly last year from what I saw. I think Brodie Croft who's gone to Salford, is another half who could go well.

Looks like the roosters are going to bring in Brandon Smith decent swap I’d say lololol
Brandon Smith has signed with the Roosters for 2023 onwards. He's a hooker or 13 and one of the best in the sport in either position.

Interesting take on the Dockhouse Rugby Show podcast with the infamous ref Ian Smith.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8ehMZZVBNg

Bit of a balance on how the refs are under pressure and don't always see things, some interersting points on how Wane was really winding up the forwards before kick off in our 2013 grand final game. Also the way SKY put video refs under pressure by giving different camera angle views at the moment the ref was making a decision. Biggest regret was the Radford sending off against Bailey not seeing what went on before and Smith had to be escorted out of the ground.

Sorry just seeing this now Fonsboy...I watch as many games as I can that Sky show and then go on the NRL website for highlights of all the other games- https://www.nrl.com/

On Wigan, I see they beat Warrington last night in Stefan Ratchford's testimonial. Only a pre-season game of course, but Jai Field got 2 tries I believe. He could be a big asset for Wigan this year and I'm sure he'll want to show what he can do.

Another one who's had injury troubles last year, Matty Ashton played on the left wing for Warrington. He may be a good shout for top try scorer in SL this time around if he can stay fit.

Not long to wait now until the new season starts!

Apart from being a faster man Jai Field to take his tries he was all over the place at full back. I hope he stays there but it’s unlikely. The most impressive from Wigan was Kai Pearce Paul who looks a real handful now he is bulking up a bit.

From what I,ve seen Jai Field doesn't like physicality, a few high bombs with Morgan Knowles in at first contact should do. I like Pearce Paul, he put himslf about in his first derby against us, seems to have a very tough temperament and could be a top player for the Goons.

I'm not saying he has no chance for improvement but if there was any chance of him being a future international he wouldn't of been let go by his 2 former nrl teams.

I thought the same, seems like a real, genuine good bloke who's taken an unusual path to SL coaching. Found myself smiling etc. at times listening to him, and then had to quickly remind myself he's the enemy! Haha

Impressive that he studied English at Uni, because coming from wi*an, English wouldn't be his first language.

found the interview a bit boring, to be honest. Also, he seems a bit inexperienced. I still suspect that Wane will be pulling all the strings

He did seem abit dour. Cant imagine him being great at getting a team "excited " before a game.

Proof is in the pudding though when we see how the PieScum go tonight against HKR

Of course the shaven ape will be running the show. Wane's job title is just PR guff to stop questions being asked about his commitment to the England job. I imagine Peet has been chosen for his skill in putting out the cones at training.

Matty Peet is a very good coach in his own right, so I think that's slightly unfair, he will bring something to Wigan. Having said that, it's hard to see past Wane's fingerprints being allover this Wigan side.

Hope so - can't see them troubling us too much playing the old Wane style with that squad.

Massive gamble by Wigan to install Peet as coach. The Pies have a long history of employing tried & tested coaches. Good test of where they are tonight against a talented Hull KR team. If the Goons loose a few early games then their fans will be calling for change.
