    Default Robert Hicks (again)

I don’t know what rules he is referring but they sure aren’t rugby league. Just sin bund Briscoe for perfect marker defence

He could bin the whole Rhinos squad and coaching staff and Wigan still wouldn’t score!

The way he is trying to talk to the players is a joke as well. Sounds more like a drunk bloke shouting across the pub than a supposed professional referee.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

He also penalised Farrell for an okay marker tackle, but atleast for Wigan’s sake he didn’t get sin binned.

2 poor teams at it tonight. Pretty dull considering this would have been a match to look forward to in times gone by.

The way it was going I thought of the distinct possibility of being 0 - 0 at full time. Terrible game no intensity some carries they are walking into the tackle, Bateman is just his own shadow.

Wigan still can’t score when Rhinos have been at 12 men for nearly 20 minutes!

Total embarrassment, two crap teams, one crap referee......

That was typical Robert Hicks messed up on Tetavano by letting a head tackle go, then levelled up his own error by giving him a yellow for something that was just a penalty.

I slag him off, because hes shit, but that knock on from Bibby is good refereeing, Bibby holds Smith in and then knocks on because of it, he could easily have given the goons an undeserved penalty.

One swallow does not make a summer, he then give Leeds a pen under the sticks for nothing.

Enjoying the Sky team saying how disappointed they are with Wigan.

    Wigan genuinely look clueless

So many shots on the shoulder being penalised as high shots.
Not helping by every player milking it these days.

He chose to penalise Harry Smith for a flop after about 36 minutes of constant pie flopping. He just chooses to apply the rules as & when it suits him. The binning for not square was a joke, he was well in place but the pies were so slow he fell for it.
Poor quality game between 2 poor teams supposedly controlled by a poor quality referee.

Its a strange one Sean O'Loughlin use to do every one of his tackles off the shoulder but never got disciplined from the ref. You are right about players milking it, the game is gradually becoming a faking injury drama these days, fans will not bother watching a soft game.

I think his biggest mistake was when he gave Wigan a penalty for an obstruction.
    The player penalised
Never crossed in front of the ball player
Was about 2m wide of that player
Ran through the defensive line on the outside shoulder of Bateman
Bateman got sucked in to make the tackle
Left a gap which the ball handler ran through
    Apparently this was obstruction

The reason was something like "the runner meant that there was a gap that the ball handler used and the tackler couldn't recover to cover the gap" no shit sherlock - that is what it was designed to do - made up rule
