Meanwhile over at the pie dome another of our former players, Jack Ashworth, covers himself in glory by brawling with Singleton from the kick off resulting in them both being given red cards.
On the footage it’s nice to see “not a malicious bone in his body” Willie Isa come ploughing in.
Good fight, both players got at least 2 proper punches in there. Expect bans for both plus Partington from Wigan and Butler from Leigh who also both threw punches. Anything more than a 2 game ban and the Wigan players will miss the game against us, anything over 3 games for the Leigh players would rule them out against us as well.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.
Leulai also tore his hamstring.
Wished they'd all play. Wigan are gash.

If anyone gets off lightly I hope it’s Partington. Firstly he’s shite so if he plays against us then it’s no big deal. Secondly he was just sorting out Butler after Butler started throwing punches into the back of Singleton’s head when Singleton’s arms were pinned down. I’ve no problem with players going toe to toe but attacking the back of someone’s defenceless head is just thuggery, even if it was the head of the person who started it all.

"The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It is nothing of the kind. The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom." Danny Blanchflower.
Might have been written by a footballer about football - but never a truer word............
Does Partington do anything apart from grub, put in cheap shots, strut round like he's a bouncer on coke, and look to get involved in any handbags?
Then again, Singleton is the same.

I assume that the question is rhetorical. This Wigan pack has nothing to offer other than try to be physical, especially if the target is smaller or not toe toe with them.
