Find the one angle that clearly overrules the onfield ‘try’ decision and only look at it once while taking a dozen looks at unclear angles. Absolute joke.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Honestly, it’s just terrible. Our game is being destroyed by these dumb rules. It’s so sad.

and these goons in the commentary box are complicit in it. They should be ashamed of themselves. They have played the game. Disgraceful.

I didn’t realise it was Hicks surely that shows that he isn’t incompetent he just sees things through primrose and blue spectacles. He should not be anywhere need a Wire game in future.

Leeds also got away with plenty of forward passes and a few dodgy calls so id say all in all it equalled itself out but id be furious to lose a game after that decision

Charnley try was a shocker but Briscoe threw that game away. First tackle on your own 40 with 5 minutes to go and he over plays. The old Leeds would have had 5 runs and a kick into touch.

It wouldn’t be as much of an issue if he didn’t keep favouring the team that takes him out for lunch. Most sports would take the integrity of the game seriously but RL just isn’t bothered at all

You're right. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. Up until that one angle was shown it looked very much like he'd been held up but there was a bit of uncertainty around it as you couldn't actually see what happened just after he put the ball down on his arm and the movement carried forward. The angle from behind then clearly showed Dwyer was underneath it the whole time and ended up coming away with it, not by having ripped it but just by being right underneath as Charney tried to get it down. At that point I thought ah right there we go no try case closed. He then went back to looking at the angles that showed nothing before giving it as no try. Couldn't believe what I was watching. Bizarre and extremely dubious decision.

    This.
About as clear cut and dried at it gets. Think every single household watching that camera angle knew it wasn't a try but the idiot in the trailer must have been watching something else.

Either corruption or gross incompetence. Either way he shouldn’t be anywhere near a super league game.

Robert Hicks is not only a Match Official but he's also Head of Legal at The Rugby Football League since Feb 21 according to LinkedIn so I'd hope corruption is not the issue tbh.
