    Default Magic Weekend

Given that not one full round of fixtures has been completed for well over a month now, I would imagine the chances of this going ahead as planned at the beginning of September are slim to nil.

I know some posters are against the concept, but have to say I was looking forward to another weekend in Newcastle this year

I just suppose that I will have to go to the local pubs instead.

How can they do that? Surely the players who would be appearing are under contract to the various UK clubs?

Cas play Salford in the opening game on the Saturday.

They have already played 14 games this season along with Wakefield and Wigan, which is the most bar Huddersfield who have played 15.

Have Cas had any 24-0 results and do they count as games played.

They count as games played, but whether Cas have been awarded any games, no idea.

Yes the game against Huddersfield was awarded to them as Hudds couldn’t raise a team and didn’t have the required Covid cases for a postponement. That game is gone now, same as the one against Cas we were awarded.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

So they haven’t played 14 games they have only actually played 12 I wonder what would happen if or when the World Cup dose not happen and we extend the season to get all games in that have not been played would those 24-0 results be played or would the results stand.

I imagine the 24-0 results will stand regardless of whether the season is extended

2 of those 14 were games they didn't actually play.

I think the 24-0 ones are forfeit games were they didn't achieve the required 7 players Covid Protocol. The other cancelled games will probably be re arranged if clubs are struggled to meet the minimum game requirement.

For us we have 10 remaing fixtures to play in the next 7 to 8 weeks but in reality we only need to play another 6 games to meet the requirement.

Could be interesting further down the line if we have qualified for the top 5 early doors and the RFL say make us play 3 games in the week before the play offs, we could just say no thanks and take a 24-0 forfeit instead.

If that situation arose it would be good to annoy them like that, but I don’t think that the finances this year would allow for it. We could always rest a few and give some kids some game time.

Is anyone going to Magic Weekend? If so, is there a particular part of the stadium Saints fans tend to congregate? Thinking of taking my Dad along and would prefer to buy tickets where our supporters will be.

I'm not bothering as doubt it will happen.

I think Saints will be in the end opposite the Gallowgate this time

That’s the Leazes End but fans mix in a friendly manner in the side stands.

I’m doing both days. Saints fans are in the Leazes Stand and it’s unreserved seating so tend just to congregate together.
