Yeah. Its bad form leaving him out there
Hope he makes a full recovery soon.
Time to see what the youngsters are made of.

Brave of him to put his hand up, but crazy to play a half back with an arm injury.
The arms are literally the key part of the body for rugby. Passing and tackling.
If it was a hand, foot, face, body, even leg you could argue its worth the risk. But you can't play without full freedom of moment in your arms.

Fages done for the season. Big shame for it to end that way at Saints.

Glad he got to win the CC. Such a tough competitor.
Good luck to him at Huddersfield, if thats where he ends up.
Time to show us what youre made of Dodd.
Although maybe Welsby will be given the spot for now?
I know it’s already pretty obvious that he’s leaving but just to add more certainty to that Matautia has put on insta ‘gutted can’t take to the field with you again’.

Woolf has said straight away Dodd will play at 7 and has a chance to make it his shirt now.
NEVER WRITE OFF THE SAINTS
Dodd has a great opportunity now and he will get plenty of game time. However fans will have to realise that Woolf will have him playing conservatively until he creates a partnership with Lomax. I should imagine we will see a better kicking game though from the word go.
Gale out the door at Leeds.........
Sad for it to end like this for Theo, (assuming he is leaving us of course) a real competitor, however I am looking forward to seeing Dodd getting his chance, especially as we already have our major trophy target sat nicely in our board room. This season is pretty much a bust as regards who finishes where from what I can see with so many games being missed. This presents an ideal opportunity for Woolf to get Dodd into the team to develop a partnership with Lomax & Roby without the total pressure of a normal season. From what bits I've seen of him, he looks to have a good attitude to defence so hopefully won't be an easy target as Richardson was. I too expect far more variation with our kicking, assuming Woolf allows that. I still wonder who will play on the left though, I guess we will see if Lomax changes sides.
Lewis Dodd, your time has arrived, let's hope our fans give him time as you say Stiddy, Woolf will be conservative, & rightly so.
So on Saints Facebook page they’re saying Fages broke his shoulder in the 6th minute of the final and played on till half time. Puts a new slant on the whole ‘should he have played with a pre-existing injury’ argument.

Saints have to take the positives out of the situation and the silver lining is what you say above- Dodd now has his chance.
Should also free up a interchange spot for one of the other hookers to get game time and show what they can do consistently. Either way, may influence Saints' decision on recruitment for the '14' spot for 2022, dependent on how it goes until the end of the season.
*Not to be confused with Mike Stephenson, MBE
Makes it a bit harder now to see if Smith/Eaves are up to it if everyone else is fit. 3 forwards plus Welsby on the bench seems to be the norm now.
Loyal and true, not a glory hunter.
Agree with all this. The regular season is a bit of a nonsense now unless it is extended to fit all games in. It's just a case of treating it like another challenge cup at the end of the season. This is an ideal scenario for Dodd. 10 or 12 semi pressured games to bed in. I think Woolf will treat him as he has done when Welsby and Dodd himself have come into the halves in the past, not too much responsibility and bit of a license to run with the ball
