    Default Open top bus parade

Since it was so great to see not only the lads and lasses parade the cups, but also because it actually meant we could get to see and celebrate them doing so, I thought it an idea to have a thread posting our picture memories of the event

I thought it was the best Saints bus parade I've seen. The weather, the turnout right along the route, the carnival atmosphere. It was almost emotional!

I wonder how some of the players (especially those leaving at the end of the season) felt seeing the adoration of the townsfolk like that.

Great turnout in Haydock like I'm sure through out the town. Did you see the extra support from the woman from Sutton??

I'm glad the players got to experience that, they possibly feel that bit more appreciated? OK a large majority of the people that lined the route wouldn't go to the match but just the fact that people have got off their backsides to show appreciation for the players achievements I hope will mean a lot to the players. I'd appreciate it in that position. It was a long old route also.

She certainly took liberties with the idea of “open top”.

It was lovely to see wasn't it. It made me all emotional. They need to get him involved with the club again if he's up for it, just in a ambassadorial role if nothing else. Proper legend.

I think him and Brown really came up trumps with their play off game plans in 2014. His tenure as head coach really did not go well but I thought he did pretty well as an assistant. I try to remember his time as an all time great at our club and if we could get him back involved in some way, I'd be delighted.

However, I can't say that I've completely forgotten about his time as head coach. I was extremely critical and fed up with boring, and ultimately, losing rugby.
