    Default Saints v Wire

Not heard anything from Saints, no emails received but just had 2 tickets come through the door for this Thursday's game. Thought it was a bit weird as the previous 2 games I was emailed and told that my tickets were on their way. Makes it 3 out of 3 for me. Can't be that many ST holders this year then surely?

Anyhow, can't wait for the game , should be great! No excuses after having the week off.

Exactly the same for me, the few season ticket holders I know have all had tickets for the three games, as semi lockdown is continuing I suppose it will it affect more matches being 4000 capacity and a ballot including the Wigan home match unless the rules are changed

Just got mine in the post. I got Salford and now Wire the two games I would have picked. Looking at other games our 4000 seems us sticking to the rules.

Was it in your Reservations section on Saints website Cyprus? Just checked mine and there's nothing yet. Post not arrived yet so fingers crossed. Had tickets for Salford and Hull so thought I would be unlikely to get one for Wire!

Nothing for me this time. No reservations. Most of my mates had 3/3.
    Hoping time yet.

If the 21 June relaxations are moved back by a further 4 weeks as now seems likely that will take us to 19 July, taking in the Wigan home game and the Cup Final. So, seems unlikely we'll have more than 4,000 capacity for Wigan and may not have more than 22,500 capacity at Wembley. It will be interesting to see what happens with the crowds for the Euro games at Wembley, as they were hoping for 45,000 for later games, all of which are before the Cup Final.

I've got mine in the post today, but the reservation had come up in my on line account a couple of days ago.

I didn't get one for the Hull game, but I didn't want one, so it's all been good so far.

I agree that Wigan looks likely to be 4,000 now, and as it's on my birthday, that's a double-reason. Therefore, I assume that I won't be winning the tombola for that. :-)

Yet Wimbledon have been allowed 50% capacity already confirmed by the government,, obviously the strawberry eating ruling class don't carry as many germs as us pie eating northerners

Funny you say that because apparently Wimbledon is going to be a free for all public ballot this year unlike previous comps. They've said they'll be releasing thousands of tickets to the public by ballot to make it a fortnight of "Peoples Sundays" so in the middle of a pandemic they've opted to open up to the public more than at any other time, which is strange.

Not sure I follow you there. Isn't it just about numbers rather than 'who' gets chance of a ticket? It doesn't really matter how they distribute them.

I've never been to Wimbledon, but from what I've seen on TV, most seems to be outside, which could also explain the 50% thing.

No, it’s the undercover socialist-sympathisers within the Tory party that have given approval to a means of culling many chinless wonders via a mass Covid-exchange party #Pimsforplebs.

I love a good scoof of Pimms, I might nip out and get a bottle for the Wales game. I'll leave the salad in the fridge though.

I agree it doesn't matter who gets them. I was merely responding to the post saying they are getting special treatment because of the perceived demographic of attendees when in fact this years tournament should be the least stuffy ever in terms of who goes there.

If Johnson goes for another month he is a braver man than me. Whitty and Harries should be put back in the lab now. I think Eton Rifles will go two weeks max. If he is feeling really brave he may do it regionally. Just a bit sickening the dual passport holders have played the system so well for themselves.

I'd love The Jam to get back together.

I anticipate some civil unrest if he goes another month.

There's been some civil unrest all along, but to be fair to the Government, they did say from the start of this set of easing, that they would follow the data, and that no dates were set in stone.

I suppose if I rephrase that, the previous unrest seemed to be 1% of cranks whereas this could be a much higher percentage of normal decent people fed up of the constantly moving goalposts.

I spoke to a friend of mine yesterday who has lost his wife through covid. If extending the lock down a further month prevents others suffering like he is it will be OK by me.

The country is simmering. I am lucky I work in a well paid industry, some are adamant they are not going back into the office and are far better off at home in every way. Our front line people have had to work through it and are now pretty battle weary.

Going on to RL I was glad to be back for the Salford game, but if that was to go into next season I would call it a day. I had some silly cow on about my mask below my nose, no drink, no food in an hour before, if that was the norm, not for me. I am not having some crappy staycation. If that plane flies in August I am on it and end of October. I am centrist in my politics but this is becoming a scientific excercise now.

Double edged sword to be fair.

My mum died 2 weeks ago, non Covid related. She had kidney failure and died suddenly and unexpectedly in less than 24 hours from being ill. If she’d been able to see a doctor for a check up in the last few months they MAY have been able to spot something or not but regardless, she’d been shielding for over a year and must have had a pretty miserable time with no visitors except in the garden and through the windows....

What a brave and realistic post. I am so sorry about your Mam. The point of misery through shielding must have been horrendous. Cancer patients in remission and I am one no check up or scan on my 12 month cycle, I have had this years but that didn't do my head much good.
