If the Download festival can be allowed with no restrictions at all worth having then there can be no reason at all that the cup final cannot be full capacity allowed. It is the young people that are spreading the virus that will be at Download, all drunk with little sense on show.
Bit of a concern still no news.

40-45k expected. Great news!
Great news on the increased capacity. Up to 5 tickets per season ticket holder is higher than I expected too.
NEVER WRITE OFF THE SAINTS
Great news, that’s enough to generate a good atmosphere.
People can stop banging on about class prejudices now and how the "Government are looking after their own". :-)
Fair play to the RFL for lobbying long and hard and coming up with the goods.
In reality, 40,000-45,000 isn't far off the crowd that we've had for some recent finals.
I'm a bit disturbed that Saints are considering offering up the chance for season ticket holders to get five tickets, though. That could backfire badly, because if we have 5,500 season ticket holders and we get, say, 10,000 tickets, then it has the potential to go badly wrong. I really don't see why anybody needs to have the option to buy so many.
THIS YEAR LENDING SUPPORT TO:- St. Helens RLFC, Manchester City, Celtic, Alemannia Aachen, Steps 1 to 6 Non-League Football
Stand by for someone not to be happy….

I am assuming some Maths would have been done here. Maybe they want to ensure if the capacity is 45,000 we actually reach that capacity. Not all ST holders will take 5. I for one won’t take more than my own and my wife’s . I don’t see it being a problem with enough for none members IMo

Might be worth those who don't have it to install the NHS App (not covid one) it has Covid status on it and is currently the one being used..
It takes a few days to verify it

Yeah, and that will be me. So each ST holder can get 5 each, and if ST holders take the lot between them I can get 0? I have not been able to buy a membership for over 12 months. I would have happily given the club full whack this season and taken the same risk as everyone else over not getting into the ground, but that option wasn't open to me. Now, if you were all getting prioritised with a guaranteed Wembley ticket per membership, fair enough, but 5? Nah, not fair that.
Well I didn't expect that fair play to the RFL and the government..
I'm guessing Saints and Cas will have been given 12-15k each, depending how many were originally sold. I'm guessing everyone who wants ones - will get one
I get your point, but I can’t see all ST holders taking 5 tickets (I will only buy mine and my wife hers for example.
Also it’s now been stated that all tickets are sold not via clubs but via RFL so not sure how they can get info on who is and who is not a ST holder of each club..

I'm sure the clubs concerned will pass a copy of the list of ST holders to the RFL. Should be easy enough to cross check
They weren't on general sale and were only open to renewing members this year. I also emailed saints to see if we were selling a half season ticket (like Warrington) and never got a reply back. It's moot now as I'm out of the country from Aug until the end of the year but some of us did try.
I'm think I'm in a similar boat to gray in that we only moved back to the northwest recently. In previous years I've only been able to make a league game or two and a final, if we were there, so a season ticket was never worth it.

Nobody can purchase a new membership for 2021, only those who had 2020 memberships. The club obviously didn't want to have the annoyance of taking on more members not knowing if they'd be able to get them in the ground. That's entirely fair on their part, I have no complaints about that, but having that barrier for me to get a season ticket also now means sitting way down the queue for Wembley tickets. As I said, if all existing members were front of the queue, fair enough, some of you donated and you are the ones that have been the lifeblood of the club in the last year, but now it's actually you and 5 mates who are now front of the queue, which for me is different and a tad unfair.
