I do hope that Nisbet develops as hoped and gets the chance to turn out for Saints first team again, if only to be able to diminish the memory of his gaffe against Salford.

SARL article, so take it with a pinch of salt, but were still interested in Ebon Scurr at Bradford apparently ...

Via the Bradford local press, though, so there could be something in it.

I take it this would be for the 23 season rather than 22?

Presumably. I thought when he'd been mentioned previously someone had said that Bulls weren't willing to let him go a year early without a fee and no-one would pay one. Unless we offered to loan him back for the season if they would release him early? Hopefully with John Kear having steered a player our way from the championship already in Walmsley he'll be able to encourage Scurr in our direction as well. I know who I'd want to play for if I was a young up and coming player.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

He only played 3 games last season.

Ah, that would explain it! I knew he was injured for part of the season, didn't realise how long a part that was!

Bizarre one that. What are Hull playing at? Why would they want to do that?

    Gale to Hull.

Its an odd one, I don't think anyone's winning in those deals!

Gale is a much better player than Sneyd when he's fit to be fair.

I’ve never got the hype about Sneyd. No better than Danny Richardson in my opinion. Not got a much better injury record than Gale either so good deal for Hull.

Gale is 34 and one of the most injury prone players there is. He's also signing a 2 year deal?

I can only imagine they are making savings on this. But Salford signing Sneyd is also a weird one, how can lowly Salford afford Sneyd's wages?

Yeah. If I had to bet on what happens to them, they will get kicked out of the AJ Bell this season, end up at Salford's football ground and go through some financial trauma, emerging in League 1 with a rebrand. How Mark Sneyd and a big contract fit into that I've no idea.

    A capacity of 5k.

    FFS.

Looks like a 3rd-tier rugby ground, in an area with no RL heritage, with no parking.

    They'll not survive.

the parking is a major issue at Moor Lane, although the gates Salford City have been getting recently haven' t put that to the test.

Theres a big restructure coming in 2024, we'll probably see clubs live beyond their limits in an attempt to stay in the top league up until then.
