He's played better than Lees, he's earned another year, I doubt he will be on big money and I think this will be his last.

I don't think it was a choice between the two of them. I think the choice was one of Sironen and Taukeiaho. I doubt we'd have signed Sironen if it was looking likely we could sign Taukeiaho.

Amor was probably staying regardless. He's fine as a prop from the bench, he still does a very solid job and is good defensively. He's a good character to have around and will be the ideal player to help out with the young lads in the reserves next season too if he's made available for them from time to time.

He is staying in the NRL next season. Moving at end of contract apparently.

Taukeiaho's mrs is quite heavily pregnant so I imagine that will have been a fairly big factor in not coming over at the moment.

With all the new signings (when Hurrell and Bell get confirmed), are we not upto the quota limit for the next couple of years?

    I think you're right.

I still think we need a decent sized prop with a 50-60 minute engine. Props win pots and we could do with one more

Guess it all depends on how long Bell and Hurrell get.

I like Amor, he has improved year on year since Holbrook took over, but i still think we need another prop. Have we got any young lads coming through the academy ?.

I know we were looking in the championship before Amor accepted his new offer, don't know if that is still a possibility.

Hopoate, Paasi, Sironen, Lussick, Bell, Hurrell and Mata’utia. That’s the 7 we’re allowed.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Hurrell might only get 1 year which would open up a spot for 2023.

Think the whole point of him refusing the Leeds 1 year deal was to sign 2 years with ourselves.

The way the players are bailing out there, a massive rebuilding job for whoever comes in.

Has Bell been officially announced yet?

Is it any wonder the game is in the state it is? I've argued for years that it should be a maximum of four (personally I'd have two or three) It's not an anti Saints thing I've had a go at Hull and Leeds in the past and Wigan are next on my moan at list.

These are some of our top teams, they shouldn't need to bring in so many from overseas.

Again maybe it's something for the "issues in the game" thread.

Who have our overseas signings stopped coming through the ranks at saints in the last 5 years?
We've gone on to promote more good young players than any other team in the league.
The clubs aren't required to use all their overseas spots, I just think saints generally make good decisions on how to fill them compared to some of our not so distant neighbours.
