I wonder if they will devote any time to looking at it at half time.

Seems weird as Clubb didn’t seem to be on the pitch at the time.

No what Bill Arthur actually did was try and shoe horn it into the "story" of the game and claim that the only thing the game was missing was a red card.

Less than 30 seconds devoted to it, they spent ages searching for Makinsons squirrel grip last year and showing multiple angles of it, you would have thought they would have been quick on it given what they are doing over the next few days.

Unless there is audio proof or footage you can lip read what can they do other than say its happened and is on report? The Makinson incident there was clear proof they could show.

Because one is an, as yet, verbal allegation and the other was plain as day for all to see on camera so couldn’t really be disputed.

It is a very serious allegation. If he is found guilty wigan would be under a lot of pressure to terminate his contract.

If they did terminate his contract he would hardly be a loss to them. Dire forward.

I'm not sure they would do, a very high profile anti-racism/discrimination session along with community outreach, is more likely. They will attempt to show reform is possible. The issue they will have is trying to prove what was actually said. Although given Hardaker's ban for his homophobic comments, Flower's for assault on an unconcious player, I suspect this will follow the same process.

Come on Guys we are not Wigan lovers or Tony Clubb lovers ---BUT---Savellio he is a sandwich short of a picnic. I will even go further I struggle to think it is in the vocabulary of Clubb. Going a stage further if it was said? Is it really racist? I get called a wooly back c u next Tuesday often by my scouse colleagues and it normally has thick added for good measure. In return I call them mushrooms. If anyone is called the N word yes no arguments or even a black B same as that is racism. Need to be careful where all this ends.

It all sounds a bit pathetic to me, it doesn't add up. Really poor insult too if true.

I call one of my colleagues a Welsh •••• and he calls me a scouse •••• most days, so what like?

I suppose if Savellio deems it to be racist, by today's standards it is racist, but If for instance Coote was called in the heat of the game an Aussie b.......r or even a Scottish b......d I can't seem him stopping play. Just for the record according to his profile Savellio was actually born in New Zealand and his father is Samoan which I think is part of the Polynesia archipelago.

If true (and I don't see why Savelio would make it up) there's absolutely no reason for Clubb to use those words in that context. It just shows that Clubb doesn't have two brain cells to rub together.

I'm not overly PC but i think the point people are missing the point here is (if true) the offending player has used Savelios ethnicity as part of an insult.

So whilst it might not be one of the more typical racial slurs, it still is rascist.

What gets said between friends in work is "banter"

If you wasnt offended by derogatory remarks in the past, great.

That doesnt mean what has allegedly been said should be allowed to fall by the wayside.

I hope the process is done by an independent group and a proper investigation done.
