    Default Jake friend immediate retirement

Can't stop the spirits when they need you.

This life is more than just a read through.

If they keep on trying to speed the game up and up and up this is going to happen more often as the collisions are getting bigger and bigger.

It's a worry that they haven't got the balance right at the moment.

Great spectacle but it's getting more and more dangerous.

It's not the speeding-up that's the problem, it's having defensive lines that are always set, so players are having to run into a brick wall repeatedly.

And the lack of punishment for high tackles.

Fox NRL was showing something about this the other week. Players being KO'd and the refs not sin binning offending players because coaches then are able to claim the ref has cost them the game.

    Punish high tackles.

Plus the defensive tactic of having 2 players tackle the opponent’s upper body with the third man taking the legs; I’d guess that nearly 50% of concussions result from “friendly fire”.

But that's what I mean by speeding up no Scrums set restarts so inevitably teams try and slow things down by piling in at the tackle and stopping the offloads.

Who's going to ref Roosters games now?
