    Default The nearly men

Whats your 1-13 team made up of Saints players that were very good but not quite good enough to make the best of 1-13?
No substitutes and no placing players out of position.
I thought id start one last tedious thread with the season only 2 days away

    9. Roby
    10. Thompson
    11. Soliola
    12. Taia

I'm not sure you can count Roby as a nearly man.

Always a tough one between him and Cunningham. I based my team on the second choice for each position. Roby has been consistently excellent, but Cunningham was immense at times and re-wrote the blueprint for a modern-game hooker. Bit of a toss-up.

Well it's gotta be Roby or Cunningham. I do think nearly men is tough though and a bit disrespectful, especially since all the players that are going to be mentioned will have been very succesful at the club (i know fishy wasn't meaning to be at all) , 2nd choice/favourite sounds better. It is a good idea of a 1-13 that hasn't been seen on the forum before. I'm guessing they have to stay in their correct positions? For example Makinson and Albert are both right wingers so I couldn't put one on the left for my all time thus enabling me to pick to other wingers for this 13?

    1. Coote
    2. Albert
    3. Iro
    4. Percival
    5. Sullivan
    6. Martyn
    7. Walsh
    8. Britt
    9. Cunningham
    10.Thompson
    11.Soliola
    12.Shiels
    13.Hooper

That team could beat any time in SL today
