    He can't get in. He lost his place through injury and Manly have gone with the 2 youngsters ever since

    How bad is Ashley Klein?

    Keppie was clearly suffering from a head knock right in front of him but he ignored it and South's nearly scored as a result.

    Todays game proving that the week off isn’t always beneficial. Penrith were in a brutal game last weekend but they look much fresher than Melbourne who had a week off. Unbelievable game of rugby too!

    It should be a great game. I said before the finals started that I was backing Penrith, but Souths have proven they can beat them. Both have injury concerns- Penrith in the forwards, plus Cleary's shoulder. Souths have Reynolds carrying his knock, he may not be able to do the kicking again.

    They talk about 'premiership windows' over there and I think for both, that window closes a little next year. Penrith losing a couple of their best players in Burton and Capewell, not sure who they're replacing them with? Souths losing Reynolds and their coach, Bennett.

    The final is anyones. Great Penrith defence against great South attack. Too close to call.

    Delighted that Penrith have done it, they have been the best team consistently over the last 2 seasons.

    I actually didn't see them getting past Melbourne last week, but they did, and they got the big one today!

    Great stuff.

    Just watched the semi final of Queensland Cup - Zeb Taia had a good game for Wynnum Manly Seagulls and is heading to the Final next week.

    Buzzing for them as they are my fave NRL team.

    How good is Nathan Cleary's kicking? I dont think ive seen someone so consistent with their in game kicking. Every single kick is on point.

    That said, for me he wasnt CCM, should have been either Burton or Kikau

    Made up Penrith won. Special mention for the referee. That’s how a game should be called. Hicks and Child’s would do well to watch and learn.

    Cleary is the best player in world rugby league I think. His kicking game is amazing, he can tackle, he takes on the line, doesn't mind the tough stuff, and his absence from Panthers is extremely noticeable on the occasions he isn't there. Best player in the world for me at the moment.

    He's certainly the best dominant half/'7'. Cleary controlled the game and was deserved MoM for me. Souths showed they could break down Penrith's defence, but they couldn't get enough field position and that was down to Cleary. The stats say he forced 5 drop-outs and conceded no 7 tackle sets. And as good as Reynolds is, in the key moment he couldn't convert from the touch line but Cleary could. It's perhaps a debate for the off season as to whether Cleary is the best player in the sport or is it Turbo Tom?

    The other big stat from the GF was Penrith had 13 of their 17 named come through their academy. Can they go back to back next year? I think Burton and Capewell are really big losses for them. On Burton especially, really interested to see how he goes as a half for the Bulldogs next year. The issues Melbourne are having at the moment with Munster & Smith could play in to Panther's favour. Roosters should be stronger. Souths? I'm not sure.

    Looks like Redcliffe Dolphins have won the race to become the next new NRL franchise;
