Gold coast an absolute joy to watch against an admittedly dreadful broncos side. It has me pining for the Messiah holbrook.

This aged well! Both defences are absolutely awful.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

That Gold Coast game was 80 minutes of craziness. Totally bizarre.

Thommo won't want to watch the first 2 Parra tries back, 2 pretty weak efforts from the big fella resulted in 2 tries for the Eels.

Interesting that Justin in his analysis post game said ‘we’re playing great as a team when we’ve got the ball and defending on our own when we don’t have it’
Sounds like the Saints in reverse! Can we have the attack the Holbrook way and the defence the Woolf way!

The Titans are becoming just like the Warriors, consistently inconsistent- great one week and can then disappoint the next.

On Saints attack, can see there's been the debate on whether Dodd should be given a go in the halves and some have said he's too young to take on the responsibility to lead the team around the field... Sam Walker has been doing it for The Roosters and looking really good and at just 18. I think he's already second on the assists chart despite playing less games than most. Reece Walsh is another at 18 who's shown he's already good enough to play at that level for The Warriors and in the pivot positions. So if Saints are looking to improve the attack and see Dodd as a top prospect, he should be able to play in the halves in SL at 19 I think.

    Regards,

    STEVO

Yes Reece Walsh has been very good- I think the thing that struck me the most was his ability to come into the senior side and play with confidence, you could say cockiness, from day one. I sometimes think new players can obviously feel they have to play it safe and earn their spot whereas sometimes they are actually picked for the X factor they displayed at the junior levels.

As for the Titans v Broncos that game stopped me getting a clean sweep on our workplace tipping comp but a good watch all the same!

How must Brisbane feel about Walsh? They've let him go, whilst struggling in the halves and at full back. Walsh can play both. Fast and good short kicking game. There's now talk of Xavier Coates going to Melbourne next year as well, so they're struggling to keep their best young players.

I'm with you on the tipping, you can't call Gold Coast from week to week!

    STEVO

He's been brilliant! Looks like he can do it all in attack and not being run over in defense, despite being only around 75kg they say. Apparently he was born in Leeds, but I think he'll be representing QLD & Australia in the not too distant future.

Josh Addo-Carr 6 tries for Melbourne vs South Sydney, not something you see, 71 years since it was last done.

Someone should have told Souths that they had a game tonight.

They have got injuries but crying out loud they have been abysmal.

How good was the Manly and Warriors game.

Also, that second try of the night for the Titans was brilliant, had Justin's approach written all over it!

I don’t follow the NRL but I recorded Justin Holbrook’s team’s game and watched it last night. It was a breath of fresh air watching their attack.

All Justin has to do is tighten up his defence whilst maintaining his attack. Perhaps Woolfe could go as his defensive coach at the end of the season. Solves 2 problems in one.

Sounds like a plan although I can imagine Holbrook's attacking plays giving Woolf a nervous breakdown.

    Adam Reynolds signed for Brisbane.

That is some signing for them given their position and 'status' at the moment.

No doubt hoping his signing will attract other names to sign on the dotted line!

Has this been confirmed? I know its been reported they've offered him a contract and so too have Cronulla.

It is a good signing for Brisbane as you say, if a done deal.

Surprised Souths are letting this happen because I think Benji Marshall has said he is retiring at the end of the season, so looking like they will be without two of their best performers (and pivots) from this season. Will have a new head coach as well, so lots of change there.

Once the Reynolds deal is done, interesting to see what then happens with Anthony Milford & Shaun Johnson amongst others!
*Not to be confused with Mike Stephenson, MBE

Just a reminder. It's the Aussies Magic Weekend this coming weekend.

Sky are showing every game starting Friday until Sunday on Sky Sports arena.
