"Where's his right foot?" what a classic. Then there was the penalty miss by Hardaker that was "just inside his own half" (it was actually in OUR half), you couldn't make up the ineptitude! Then there was getting Bentley and the returning Batemen confused, it was just embarrasing.

I can't stand Bill Arthur, He's become an absolute cock that fella.
Seriously shows how little SKY care about the game that a hospital radio presenter like him gets the commentary gig.

Does anyone know the layout of the Kcom stadium? Was the Wigan team housed on the opposite of the stadium so they couldn't hear us celebrate or are the changing rooms fairly close by?
That would have been brutal to lose like that then listen to the cheering whilst still smarting!
    Funny, but brutal.

Was thinking about this recently, how it’s such a shame that one of the most iconic moments in our history and in our sport is narrated by the most boring, dull, average and unmemorable commentator. Same for our 2019 GF win. Such a shame, I know Eddie had his haters (not me personally, I like him a lot) but at least he was energetic and engaging and made the game sound fun! Imagine if Bill Arthur had commentated on Wide to West... it wouldnt have been half as iconic as it is!

The club should send a copy of the final last minute and get Hemmings to dub his commentary on it, that moment deserves a "wide to west" type sound edit.

I watched the extended highlights last night and also found myself being annoyed by the entire commentary team.

I dont think they where particularly biased, i just thought they where a shambles.

And as others have said, the best ending to a grand final for a long time and all Bill can do is try and look for controversy.

And the way he was trying to build up to a Grand final extra time, like no Bill, we've still got 60 seconds to play here and Lomax has just emptied the tank to get us up the pitch you wazzick.

I was sat next to Bill at the Co-Operative Championship End of Season Dinner in Manchester. Not a pleasant experience if I am honest.

Didnt Eddie coin the phrase "Amazing Grace" because of his try scoring against Wigan?

Just goes to shows different opinions, lots do not like Sky`s hyperbole and bigging up of things, others saying not enough of it.
Lots on here wanted Eddie and Stevo gone, now we are left with commentators that cannot get players names correct or quite often get the wrong player, Kev & Regan were not separated at birth, our own Mr. Pyke`s speech impediment renders most of his sentences incomprehensible.
It is obviously a difficult job, be careful what you wish for eh!!

I said the same to my Dad yesterday after he mentioned he'd watched a game with Eddie and Stevo commentating, he used to call them both weekly.

This lot are generally appalling though, I can really think of any redeeming features and that includes Jenna Brooks face before we get started on her post match questioning.
