Why are people obsessed with Luke Thompson becoming homesick? We went through this with Graham and Warrington signing him every off season, do we really need to go through Wigan/Warrington/Leeds signing Thompson?

If Thompson leaves Bulldogs it will be to Gold Coast...

Because it was rumoured once and people are gullible.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Didnt we wish the same with Savelio and Greenwood? I think we'll miss him less this year than last with the signings we've brought in.

He must have been given a big under-the-table payoff. Gutted that the scum have been able to cheat and get him off the cap.

It’s just as much of an assumption that Thompson would only leave Canterbury for the Gold Coast, because his ex coach is there.

October 2018 - Signs again with Salford but for 2019 only. Speculation starts again.
July 2019 - Signs for Wigan for 2 years but with a get out clause after 1 year. More rumours...
November 2020 - Confirms he is staying at Wigan but only commits til end of 2021. Guess what? More rumours...

He’s a media whore who craves and loves the attention. Great player too.
Great summary - he only landed here because he was trading punches with his team mates when up in Queensland - he did have end up though at either Wigan or Catalans .... will be a loss though next year.

I see Hastings has given an interview with the Telegraph over in Aus that he would love to obtain an NRL contract , for me and the knowledge my good friend has with discussions within the goon club , wouldn't surprise me if he's not already been tapped which I have mentioned earlier see post 17# . PS Hastings is still in Aus .

I may be older than you Ralph. 40 Years ago, Wigan Tiffs, The Bees Knees, I could ramble on and on just brilliant and never any trouble. Liverpool you took your life in your hands. St Helens was well it was ours but nobody ever came but the usual circuit dwellers, it was that bad coaches left town every Friday and Saturday going to all kinds of places. Peppermint Place Blackburn, Angels at Burnley etc.

Oh aye, many a good night, a lad I worked with when I was about 18, his missus and her pals were in there, one of them got hold of me and I became a man that night.

Sorry Roy. Sounded like I was pushing for more info there. I mean I'd be surprised if he didn't see his deal out at Wigan

    You bought a round?.

    I jest.

Just getting giddy about the thought of Wigan having no scrum half for the season.

    Taught me how to shave.

Yeah, it would be amusing although I thought they had that young lad, I'm sure Brian will let us know. I suppose Lam could always get his boots on, or the wicketkeeper Tommy Leuluai.

    More contacts than Specsavers.
Always makes me laugh thinking of some old boy from Platt Waz sat in a batcave with a hotline to Ian Lenagan, Maurice Lindsay, Ellery Hanley, Wayne Bennett, Shaun Edwards, Adrian Lam, Billy-Joe the ball boy and the Mr. santus.

Poor old Rogues. Nothing he hasn't done. Nowhere he hasn't been. No-one he doesn't know. Sadly avoided like the plague apparently by those in the know.

To be fair, Rogues is as enthusiastic about Wigan as anyone.
